The problem is that "right pass" stuff. It's a bit of a rarity from this guy.

Do you know what Judge ? - you are probably right but the times I have seen him play the guy is always a bit of a problem for opposition defenders with the lightning pace that he has, and a bit of trickery. I am sure Klopp can make a good player out of him - but if we had another speed demon up front it would go a long way to solve half our problems up front when Mane is not playing. Just a run and a willingness to take on a few defenders would ease the pressure on our team. The other night - although I thought we struggled to cause problems in their final third as much as we could have done; even though the stats that were shown were quite in our favour (don't get it though ?). In conclusion "your honour"- I just want a fast runner up front, we are not going to get a world class striker this January window.

I know - but he does not play him which pisses me off. For the first time since Klopp has arrived ( by the way I love the bloke - no I adore the big German) - I realize that there is a part of him that does not get it. After the match interview he was upset and thought we should have won, when I think most people here (with reason) would argue that actually a draw is probably right. But the fact that he based his reasoning on hard work - really gets to me. A team working hard does not give us the right to win ( we hope but it ain't gonna happen if you have players with limitations).

Regarding Ojo - still don't understand why he does not play him or give him the chance - I think the guy will be top bollox for us when he is given a regular go.

As the boss, an emotional one at that, who trains and communicates with the players everyday, I totally understand why he said that.
And it should be obvious to all that working hard the wrong way, i.e. Running around without having a clue, is completely different to how Klopp has set his team up over the last year.
It's why we're unrecognizable to the team of 1.5 years ago, with more or less the same personnel.

Actually we can turn into the team of last year in attacking limitations when you take out Mane. Any stability since last year has only been possible due to Matip/Milner at the back and specially having Milner at the back.

Ojo has got a lot to learn. He can either do that on loan or more gradually here, but he's certainly not ready for a run of games in the first team.

Ojo didn't make a good enough impression against Plymouth. You just don't get that many chances.

I have to say despite of his obvious flaws that I wouldn't be totally against the physical masterpiece that is Adama Traore.

He really has got a lot to learn but he is young and already more than capable in some areas. If he could learn to become a bit more humble on the ball - better vision for teammates and knowing when to stop dribling and look up instead, he'd be a wonderfully wild addition to the squad.

You would not want him and Mane running at your defense..

Was it not his first game for the main team in a while ? He was injured for a while and just because he did not have that ine good game does not mean he should not be tried. I really want him to be given a go in that main team while Mane is away.

We're in mid January and not even a sniff of a signing in sight. Surely he can't believe we don't need a couple of players right now.

I'm sure we would go for any signing(s) that would improve us - Klopp himself has confirmed that. What we're not going to do, though, is get into a "Gotta sign somebody" panic and spend money on players who are decent enough but wouldn't improve us much or at all. Either way I quite like the fact that we're not conducting our search openly in the media TBH.

I guess its obvious that I don't really follow the Championship anymore. Well except Rafa for some reason.

I'm not sure he's actually been in the Championship much since then, just seems to have bounced around the bench at various clubs.

I've only seen him play twice, I think, and he looked mediocre in both games.

We've done many signings in january.

After this January it would have been the 4th winter window in a row we've not added a single player to the squad.

12/13 winter window is the last meaningful January transfers we made, which were Phil and Studge.

Pretty poor record imo, we just don't fancy it.

He's probably ready to be tried as an impact sub, brought on for the last twenty minutes, but no way more than that at this stage. Tactically he's not yet aware or disciplined enough to fill in for Mane. But if you just send him on and tell him to use his pace and work like hell for 15 or 20 minutes, he'll either show real promise or slip back to the ressies. Personally I'd expect Wilson, of the two, to make a more mature performance.

He scored 17 goals in the Championship 3 years ago, for Boro it has to be said, so maybe they know the player a bit better than others.
