Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed that he is considering the possibility of sending Alberto Aquilani out on loan in an effort to help him regain first-team football.

The Italian midfielder has endured an injury-stricken campaign last year after joining the Merseyside club last summer and has not enjoyed a regular run in the team.
Speaking after Liverpool's 1-0 win against Trabzonspor in the Europa League Hodgson confirmed: "At the moment we are considering loaning him to an Italian club.
"I didn't want to use him tonight in case the loan goes through because for Aquilani it's very important this year that he plays regular football, every week as the number one man on the team sheet.

"I can't promise him that here so if a loan move to Italy could help him in that respect it might be good for all parties. It would certainly be what he needs, it would certainly protect the value of the player and when he does return to Liverpool no doubt we will see the Aquilani that we signed before he came here injured last year."
The former Roma man has previously been linked with a move to Napoli this summer, something his agent Franco Zavaglia denied.

I heard Inter's manager rates him quite highly... of at least he used to.

We need to cut our losses and get rid... sitting on the treatment table at another club isn't going to raise his near non-existent value.

Stupid move. What happens when (not if) Gerrard and Cole breaks down?
Our attacking midfield was sorted but suddenly now we're short one player. Is Pacheco, Spearing or Shelvey gonna fill his boots? No! Well not yet anyway.

I think this a simple case of Hodgson deciding he doesn't like the player despite his potential.

The worst thing is, this will make Roy look like the cunt.

"He loaned out a £20m player".

No, Rafa bought a £20m injury prone, shithouse.

This highlights how poor benitez was in the transfer market.

Don't tell Rawk.

Me thinks Roy doesn't rate him. In which case we should sell him, but with his record last season we'd make a huge loss. At least loaning him out takes him off the wages with the distinct possibility of selling him for more if he performs in Italy

not two days ago he was flapping his gums about how we're not in a position to let anyone go without replacing them
[/quote]
So maybe he's replacing him.

you really think we'd let someone go on loan, and then pay money to bring in a replacement? that's ridiculous as soon as rbs caught wind of that bullshit we'd be in administration the following morning

Flap your gums around this.

There's fuck all point in loaning him out. If he's going anywhere we should be getting a fee for him. Otherwise we may as well cling on to him as backup.

Fear is he might break a leg while being loaned out and we might have to put him down?

It is much better using the Lucas and Poulson of this world instead of a guy that can pass the ball. Muc Much better.. They both have shown that they are as entertaining and effective as my my left cojone... Nice move Roy. Now fuck offf you boring retarded asshole.

A boring retarded asshole?...ha ha thats a tad harsh Insignificance!
Besides, who knows how crook Aquilani really is?

He is a broken footballer who cant stand up to the prem. If we have to loan him to make any money back maybe we have to? The cross-eyed wanker.

This is stupid. Why the fuck would you loan him out, its not like we have such a big squad to help cover for injuries etc.

If he is getting rid of Aqua, then i hope Defour is coming as a replacement with the little/no money we have

Roy is a cunt. He was a "manager" over here in Norway before he took over Finland a couple of years ago. He was just as exciting as my left middle toe nail....

I don't know if it's entirely fair to call him a 'shithouse', after watching him in the few fleating appearances for us, you'd have to conclude he would be best served as the forward 'in the hole', so would that type of player to stick their boot in?

I would sell and replace him with another striker or keep him in case gerrard or cole breaks down. a loan sounds stupid.

Even though he is perma ill, I don't understand the logic in getting rid of our creative players.

If Gerrard is out, we get to watch Poulsen - Lucas - Cole. Oh fucking boy.

If Cole is out we watch what exactly? Poulsen - Lucas - Gerrard.

It's like last season, but with a worse midfield. If Hodgson doesn't think he can compete with Cole, he's mental. If he think he's too sickly to compete regularly, he should sell him. I don't see the point in this, other than a long spell in a shopwindow that deprives us of a good player, and is no more likely to increase his value than keeping him. Also, with two players who have poor injury records of late, there should be plenty of games for both of them.
