Nightmare last night
I got an email at 9pm from United (knew I should never trust an airline called that) saying there was a change to my flights and to confirm I was OK with it. Our flights are Manchester-Copenhagen-Warsaw-Odessa and the change was that the Copenhagen-Warsaw flight had changed time & now landed in Warsaw 20 minutes AFTER the Warsaw-Odessa flight!
So, no, it wasn't OK. I spent over 2 hours on the phone to an agent in the US (dread to think what that will cost) while she explored all options. In fact it was basically me looking up flights online & asking her to check them. While there were flights with Star Alliance airlines that worked there was always at least one leg that had no award seats (ones that its OK to use airmiles on), and they said could not be booked. One of these options was Copenhagen-Istanbul , Istanbul-Odessa with the second leg with no award seats.
In the end I persuaded her to change the flights to get me to Istanbul and then bought the final leg myself (at a cost of £200
🙁). The upside is we get to go via Istanbul, which must be an omen
I may need
@dantes help to get my money back
PS
@Molbystwin - the subsequent restless night did produce one slightly relevant dream, but it involved ian Rush getting pulled down when clean through on the Kop goal with a resultant red card ... not sure what you can read into that
