Vejle.

That's a second tier team in Denmark btw.

Apart from Coutinho and Sterling have we actually bought any real proper young talents that have deceloped into stars let alone above the fold players?

Or that lad that possible came from German. Looked promising and then suffered serious injuries. GKMacca loved him.

But really the answer is no.

This kid was just involved for Brazil u-20 and Klopp rates him highly. Looks a talent aswell so thats an odd link.

I've only ever seen him in some training ground pic getting a hug from Klopp, so I've no fucking clue if he's any good.

From finnish 1st tier to belgian top tier to german top tier to danish 2nd tier.

Talk about progress...why are we sending him there?

On a sidenote, it kind of highlights our lack of concrete planning with regards to loan deals and club partnerships/collaboration. It all seems very random.

Unless he plays regularly at his loan club (provided its at a league of reputable level) and earn some youth international recognition or gain a 2nd nationality, our chances of getting a work permit for him is pretty low. Why agree to a loan to Bundesliga side (which finished 7th in the previous season) well aware that he's most probably only going to play a bit part role?

Taiwo Awoniyi is a similar case. FSV Frankfurt in the 2nd Bundesliga (ended up getting relegated that season) followed by a loan to NEC in Dutch Eredivise (finished 10th last season). Then there was Harry Wilson's loan to Crewe last season where he barely played and Brannagan's chances of Championship football got scuppered cos of the 'playing clause' in our loan policy and now ended up at Fleetwood in League One.

Remember Julian Ward (our ex-Iberian scout who got us the likes of Alberto and Moreno)? He's now moved as the Loan Pathways & Football Partnerships Manager. 🙄

It's more than a link mate.

He's actually joined Vejle in their pre-Season training somewhere nice and warm with the aim to be integrated in the club before signing a contract. The club has said so in a statement on their own webpage so it's kinda on. And weird.

It's alarming isn't it?

I am 100 percent convinced that 6CM's posters would be better at selecting and buying talent than the current lot that's actually getting paid handsomely by the club to do it.

Especially if I were in charge of it all.

tongue firmly in cheek

No, seriously, I mean it.

Judging from this woefully-compiled video, he'll score the odd wonder goal (see 50 seconds in), chip the ball forwards for a few counter attacks, take a decent corner, make some ludicrously inept tackles and, in our great LFC Brazilian tradition, fluff loads of shots on goal.

And this more recent clip is more indicative of the sad decline in the art of commentary than it is a showcasing of Allan. Endless chuntering without any connection to the action.

There is something romantic about a wonderkid called Allan in Vejle isn't it?? The original comes from there if my memory doesn't fuck me totally now?

He's in Turkey with Vejle.

Are you sure mate? There is nothing in the media regarding this story, and he hasnt returned from the Brazil U-20 team yet, were he made his debut in the tournament. To go to Vejle would be weird. Very weird.

Why the fuck we arent using old players etc as scouts I'll never know..... surely they have an idea about what sort of player Liverpool need....

Our scouting has been shit for a while now.

Sooooo, is Allan talented again now? Is he still good at his "job"? Seeing as the Danish second division story looks to be untrue.

Ha ha maybe someone are mixing Brazilians up, I can't say, but here's the quote from Vejle's official homepage from yesterday that has been used to create the story in Danish medias:

Ha ha that's just comedy gold then.

Are there two Allan's with the same surname or have their club actually presented the wrong player?

You had one job..

..anyways as I was the one quoting the Danish medias here without looking further into what was going on, my apologies, and maybe we should just delete this thread or start a new one with the focus on or scouting in general?

im sure the echo said he was with the u20s literally 48 hours ago with brazil . Why would we call his loan quits mid way through the season and immediately after the internationals to re loan him to some shit scando team ??

Yes, that would not make sense.

Someone got their Brazilian's mixed up, I blame the bloody Danes...
