Udinese confirmed that they received a bid of between 30-35M Euros but won't name the club!

To be honest the timing seems well odd why it's probably not us.

Everyone knows that a players prize - only days after scoring four in one and same match - will be heavily inflated.

It's not us because we've brought in 60 million worth of strikers in January
[/quote]
He's not a striker at all.

And haven't you forgot to take money received for the Torres-transfer into account Avvy?

Not the amount,Kris..I'm pretty sure NESV will be spending some money in the window, but it probably won't be on a striker..

And yeah, it's possible Sanchez is a target since he can play as a forward or a winger, but we don't have a midfield so DM is probably a priority followed by a CB and a proper winger.

Though all three of those are equally important, tbh.

Sanchez is a proper winger mate. That's the point I was trying to make. We need that more than anything else.

I knew my corny attempt of saying something 'old and wise' would eventually fail...

"If you do not dare to dream..." - sort of works, but it's probably been said already.

Everything already has.

Not from the most reputable of sources, but still...

http://footybunker.com/liverpool-are-secret-alexis-sanchez-bidders-with-27-5m/1201

Sources in Northern Italy have revealed that Liverpool are the Premiership club to have already made a summer bid for the Udinese and Chilean 22 year old.

The winger has been the subject of more transfer speculation than most over the last few months and Liverpool now look to be heading in the direction of sorting out player transfers as quickly and as quietly as possible and this premature offer is obviously a sign that Liverpool’s new owners actually mean business.

The previous Anfield owners were good at talk but never took any action, NESV seem to be letting their wallets do the talking which is great news for Kop fans. The recent signings of Suarez and Andy Carroll were a big sign that they will not simply be sitting in the background. A bid of £27.5m for Sanchez shows there is no sign of John William Henry II stopping yet.

Whilst Udineses are under “instructions” not to release the name of the team that has made the bid, it is likely that others will follow suit in what will be another high spending summer with other interested clubs reported to be that of Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United with Sir Alex Ferguson quoting a while ago that Sanchez was an “interesting project”.

Aah of course.

I'm too tired to 6CM.

Binny, that would be a sign of serious intent.

I don't wanna dare dream just in case we get let down again.

Who we bid for and who actually arrives could be something entirely different.

I didnt realise he was an out and out winger.

I thought he was more of a right wing forward.

If he is, yes please

I've had enough of utility players, Jules; I just players who're quality in their position...not OK in 3 positions.

Agreed, but I'm still not clear what the distinction is between an out-and-out winger and a wing forward. The difference between RM and RW I can understand, but on the basis that a RW is a forward player (as all wingers used to be). What am I missing?

No, you're right...it's just that I've seen very little of Sanchez, save for the WC and I can't remember where he even played.

He's very much a winger Avvy. Ronaldo is probably the best comparison in terms of playing style. And like Ronaldo, he started off as a touchline hugging (and ball hogging) winger but is now seemingly playing in the slightly narrower position of wing-forward, if that's what you meant.

A summer transfer? How many pages would that mean? 427?

Thanks, Mish.

I dont know why I keep thinking he's a striker sometimes playing at wing forward.

Suarez a bit of an utility player actually.

YOU MIND HIM?

🙂
