It was encouraging to hear that. I don't know. If he keeps his hair head down, concentrates and keeps it simple, there's no major reason why he shouldn't settle down and show why he was rated before. Maybe McAllister will follow him around shouting at him!

One thing Lawro said that I think is right is about the midfielders not looking to play a positive forward pass often enough. All through last season it was the same: the possession routine was so ingrained that they often missed the opportunities for an attacking move. I know sometimes you can say the movement ahead is the problem, and again, last season, sometimes it was, but our defence and midfield do get almost hypnotised by their pretty little passing patterns and forget they're supposed to be going somewhere.

Can't see us winning anything with Allen or Lucas in DM. They're both too slow and soft. Lucas has far better positional awareness though.
