Good - Milner, Ibe
Ave - Ming (nothing to do), Skrtel, Lovren, Gomez (one lovely turn on his man though), Henderson, Origi (good with the ball at his feet but abdicating the centre, playing much like he did at Lille), Lallana (having to come inside to cover the space Origi has left).
Below Ave - Clyne (a tad off so far), Allen (being by-passed more than he should be),

Origi is balls.

Gomez has done well.

Lallana & Ibe not getting into the game enough.

I've played against half those defenders that are taking the piss out of Divock Origi.

Lovren misses a header from point blank range, but it's ok - he was able to reach up and fix his hair within milliseconds.

Ignore Ryan on Ibe - he's been very good. Smart on the ball, some dangerous runs and a nice attempted header on goal.

Alright, let's focus on the positives:

- We've got two significantly better fullbacks now than we had last season.
- Milner's an enormous step-up on last season's Gerrard.
- Lallana looks very sharp with a proper pre-season under this belt as opposed to last year's injury-interrupted one.

Lallana still holds onto the ball far too long ... if he had the ability to release it quicker more often, he'd be an even more dangerous player (if he can stay healthy).

Milner looks a class act. He'll do some damage next season when he's not got people like Origi playing infront of him.

great break here ...

Milner wins the ball ... gets it to Henderson, who pushes it up all the way ... Who passes it to Babel Ibe, who puts in a great ball in the box where Milner (offside) puts it in.

I wonder if it's worth getting Origi on loan to a bottom half team over here for a season? Is he going to progress that much for us this season being 4th or 5th choice?
