c'mon, your admiration of carra to one side for a minute, carra ripping into arbeloa the way he did rub you up the wrong way?
to make matters worse the guy is the vice captain.

Arbeloa hasn't even played for us for about two years. You're like my bird bringing up some shit i did in a past life because you've run out of ammo in a pointless argument.

So because Carragher has been great in the past and a great servant for the club, we're not allowed to talk about him in any way other than complete admiration? I guess that's why marriages rarely break up once they make five years.

No, I'm saying if the worst thing you've got on him was something he did aeons ago then you're being a petty cunt for the sake of it.

That's Neil, all im saying is that its an example of this attitude he has which puts me off him surfacing.

I don't really have a problem with carra the man (honest) but that outburst was fucking unbelieveable. as for carra the player I didn't like him as a fullback and I don't like the current vintage but I will say when carra was good he was really good and that is the measure of the man considering at one point at centre back early in his career he was all over the fucking place with the apex being the double own goal v the mancs.

Im not ahead Modo, im just airing my opinion, I've wanted to for a long time to see your mentioned equation in action.

Some of the shite you read on here boggles the mind. I've met Carragher twice and he's extremely likable.

It's Gerrard who is a bit of a bellend.

if you read the shite you'd realise no one is talking about him in a personal capacity but rather as a player as I clearly stated in my first post. I've not met him or seen him out of a footballing context so why would I say otherwise?

Carragher is one of the most ordinary non-arrogant not-up-his-own-arse footballers out there. Doesn't always do the right things I agree but don't confuse being overly passionate with arrogance and a lack of respect. I think that's plain wild assumption.

I've said this before, but I don't care. I met carra in the sportrs bar through a shared friend.

He spent over an hour talking to me about all things football, & a few other things. When we left he gave me armfuls of Istanbul stuff, including a pass with lanyard, programme, & tonnes of other stuff, & signed it, all at the boot of his range rover whilst a traffic warden threatened him with a ticket if he didn't move it, Carra simply replied it was important.

He wasn't arrogant in the slightest at any point, if anything his attitude was of gratitude to be paid to play football, & he said he was one of the least technically good players in the club. Considering this was weeks after the CL final in Istanbul he'd have had every right to be arrogant.

Wow, very impressive stuff.

My mrs dad met him at selhurst park (for some reason), and said he was a genuinely nice bloke

No reason for a chelsea fan to pay him a compliment

Yeah lets Tar and feather him for pushing that lazy fanny head from Spain who was slacking off in a game when we were challenging for the title.
Weh poor Arbeloa!
I was hoping Carra nutted the scrawny fairy.
What's the obsession with him on rawk too?
Something bout outing Rafa or something

An example of his attitude? Suarez bollocked Downing at the weekend, Mascherano bollocked Voronin a few years back (which I'd wager the people moaning at Carra now had absolutely no problem with). It's a will to win. If a few more of our players had it, we might fucking be somewhere.

Yeah let's talk about his attitude. Remember the Nou Camp? Backs against the wall, Carra roaring at everyone desperately trying to keep us organised, throwing his limbs in the way of everything for the cause.

But no, shall we talk about a petty squabble in the heat of the moment three years ago because he wanted us to win a game and Arbeloa fucked up?

Jeez.

Fucking hell, Mystic.

You best hope the place gets hacked and Sunny loses the backups !

I don't know how much clearer I have to make this, im not talking about him in a personal capacity, I have no doubts he's a lovely bloke, all I've been saying is there is something about the way he acts to his team mates on the pitch which I don't like, as if no ones good enough, you're acting like im comparing him to Hilter. Mark those situations you mention were different, although I dont really like seeing anyone getting handbags out on the pitch, Carragher nearly came to blows with Arbeloa over nothing, what if he scored an own goal? Would we be accepting Bowyer versus Dyer round two? Still im not bothered by it, I was just using it as an example of an attitude I dont like, which puts me off him as a footballer, could you all just stop trying to exaggerate my opinion into something it is not.

Post it twice.

Charlie Adam will not play again this season due to a knee injury, Kenny Dalglish today confirmed.
The Scotland international has not featured since our defeat to QPR on March 21.
Though his injury does not require surgery, he will not be fit to be considered for selection for Great Britain's Olympic team for this summer's London Games.

"There is no operation needed but he won't play this season," said Dalglish.

"And I would think if they had any designs on having him in the Olympics he wouldn't be fit for that either."
