We're on 6, they're on 6, it's a 6 pointer.

Oh noes... This is going to be the worst derby in living memory. It already smells of Higson's mild and three day weeks and black and white milk.

We'll get battered into submission, score a flukey last minute one against the run of play, and Woy will have the job foweveh and eveh.

we wont be going into this one as favourites.
A fucking relegation six pointer.

Roy doesn't do away wins.. and if we're losing at home to Blackpool..

.. that spells "relegation battle". I'm now very concerned.

Win, lose or draw, Roy has to go. Doesn't make any difference. Clueless, headless chicken and shambolic performance every time on the pitch. And Everton will batter us if we play like we did yesterday.

A lot of things could change before this match takes place. If we're still owned by Hicks and managed by Hodgson, I'll be pessimistic, but I'm not giving up all hope of change just yet.

I was a bit gutted about the break, because something had to give and I think a two week break kinda lets tempers waver a bit, but that's a fair point. Either things will be sorted so we're moving forward with a view to a sale, or Hicks stays and supporter unrest and the pressure to succeed in the derby will intensify x a million.

I really think if things stand as they currently do, and we lose the derby then Roy will either walk or be pushed.

If he's still here and we lose, he'll be gone.
So given that they are in a position they shouldn't be in given how they've played and were in a position we should be in given how we play. So we won't win and he'll be gone.

Or maybe we'll just win 10-0?

We've always said that the derby game was their cup-final, it's ours now.

Fortunately for us these games are nervy, scrappy affairs so our lack of cohesive football will be hidden and we should at least be capable of scrapping and fighting.

In attack I'd go with Soto up top again and lumping in the ball from all areas and angles; Dogs Of War style.

It's open season on Roy Hodgson at present, even in some parts of the Press; if we go down to a defeat (particularly if we show a lack of fight) I can't see how he'll survive.

well if you think staples will penetrate his skin, all i can say is good luck with that. the only thing i know of on earth that has penetrated lucas' skin is rafa benitez.

I know off-field issues shouldn't make a difference to the team's performance, but... I now think we'll win this.

We should know before the derby the state of the club and who our owners are..
