I am so glad I didn't check this thread throughout the match .. it is so full of shite, epitomised by the post above.
I am sure I'm watching another game and the commentators seem to agree with me. Downing has been utter crap but in a game dominated by a crowded midfield we have kept possession better, defended very well, except for the goal started by Spearing's fucking air-kick and Pepe not covering his post, and Gerrard has been everywhere.
We have had the better of the first 45 mins, goal aside, and I am confident we can get back in this. Now I'm off to watch the second half because it is fucking useless tuning in here to listen to you moaning fucking lot.
Credit to the chavs, they've forced our midfield back and isolated Suarez. They have made us a broken team.
We were a bit too pedestrian in the first half, we need to move the ball quicker and move more intelligently off the ball. Downing came into the game towards the end of the half, Henderson who's gone to the right has to do the same. He's moved out to the right and he ought to start out wide and then try to cut in so Johnson can overlap.
We're much more threatening when Agger moves out of the back with the ball, he's giving us an extra man in the middle, which is where we're losing the game at the moment.
