I'm expecting them to try and prove a point to their manager tomorrow, but we countered that today by getting Suarez to sign a new deal.

Liverpool will have to win 4-0 to make amends for that previous score line.

If I was Brendon I would use this fact as part of my Team Talk in the morning...

- Alright boys, 54 years ago club legend Bill Shankley....

- Who?

- Shankley, you know the statue outside the ground, you know (raises his arms).

- Oh.

- As I was saying.....Bill Shankley, the one with the arms (looks at Coutinho), lost his first game here against Cardiff. Let's go out there and avenge that loss.

- Yeah....sure boss.

It will be a tough game regardless. The few Cardiff games I've seen they've been fired up and worked their socks off.
Havent seen them play away though, could be a bit different without that amazing home support.

My friend watched Cardiff lose at Crystal Palace two weeks ago.
Shit team, loud away support. He was seating with the home crowd not far from the away sections, and say they were a bunch of full of hatred people...

They had a massive kick off at the Chelsea I believe.

Hateful Welsh bastards was the term used by my chav supporting mate.

They've kicked off at some of the finals we played down there. Even stories of fans getting a hiding the night before the game. I was pissed off when they joined the EPL as their fans as stuck in that time zone when football violence was all 'fashionable'.

Having said that, they're not all bad. Some of their fans have been very supportive over Hillsborough and the decent fans certainly don't deserve what that Tan lunatic is doing to their club.

They were v loud at the Chelsea away game back in October but no trouble.

I've heard of the trouble at Cardiff finals but it was usually Cardiff v whoever we were playing. They do still have some proper dark ages fans and the fact that they're welsh and the league is English is sometimes part of this.

The defeat was so traumatic to Shankley that he gave up the 'e' in his surname as an act of penance. 'If I don't turn this club around by 1962,' Shankly told fans after throwing the 'e' into the Mersey, I will abandon the 'a' as well, making my name unpronounceable, which will be what it deserves to be.
