Let's that the Torres transfer is done and dusted and there's now no chance of a U-turn.
Chelsea gives us £50 Million and the board sells a couple of players this summer like Aquilani, Skrtel, Poulsen, Jovanovic etc.
The board injects another £10-20 Million.

Kenny's got £80 Million to spend.

This is all hypothetical so don't mix realism into it.

List the player you want and/or the position that needs strengthening.

I'll start:

* Gary Cahill, CB, £12 Million from Bolton

* Fabio Coentrao LB, £18 Million from Benfica

* Charlie Adam CM, £6 Million from Blackpool

* Eden Hazard LM, £20 Million from Lille

* Fernando Llorente CF, £25 Million from Bilbao

Sum total: £81 Million

Alternatives:

* CB, Ryan Shawcross, £12 Million from Stoke

* LB, Ryan Bertrand, £8 Million from Chelsea

* LB, Leighton Baines, £10 Million from Everton (Liverpool fan)

* LM, Charles N'Zogbia, £10 Million (7-8 if they get relegated) from Wigan

* LM, Matt Jarvis, £8 Million from Wolves

* CM, Steven Defour, £16 Million from Standard Liege

* CM, Marek Hamsik, £20 Million from Napoli

* LW/RW/ST, Ezekiel Lavezzi, £25 Million from Napoli

* ST, Andy Carrol, £20 Million from Newcastle

* ST, Karim Benzema, £30 Million from Real Madrid

Its a bit hard to do this.

Im too angry.

All Footballers can fuck off.. every single last one of them. Bastards.

I know, but this is my way of dealing with it. Let's just look to the future.

Would Charlie Adam really be on your ultimate wishlist if we weren't already in for him?
His relative low price allows us to spend more on other players. To be honest he just fits the equation.

Obviously not.

I don't know who I want. I want us to sign some 20year old from Brazil that turns out to be the next Ronaldo.

Well we've had a bid for £6.5m rejected, so I don't see why you've got him there for £6m

We can force their hand in the summer.

okay.

ill try it your way...

Sanchez - Udinese - 20m

Alonso - Real Madrid - 20m considering Real Madrid are likely to sign another 20 players in the summer.

Adam Johnson - 20m Cant see him lasting that long at Man City.

Doyle - Wolves - 5m - once they get relegated.

Bellamy - 5m City obviously dont want him.

Alex - Chelsea - 10 million

£8m for Ryan Bertrand?

What has he done to justify this price tag?
Inflated transfer market plus he's young and English. For some reason that add a couple of million.
What has Alex Oxlade Chamberpot done to justify a +£10 Million price tag?

Shawcross or Cahill - 15m
Lass Diarra - 10m
Mvila - 15m
Young - 18m
Striker for - 22m - I can't think who.

Well he's being touted as one of the best up and coming stars in the country. Bertrand not so much. I agree there would be a premium because he's English though.

Hey ho, I'm still too depressed to remotely care.

Sanchez...I like.

The rest a little too old no?

I really don't wanna do this, but anyway....

Forlan - £8m. I know he's old, but he's experienced and they need the cash, and he's proven alongside Suarez

Spend big on a centre back - £10m. I don't know who, but a commanding player who will be here for a good few years.

Young/Johnson - £15m

Defensive midfielder - £7M

Another striker/attacker, someone young and up and coming - £10m

Check this vid out, Bertrand looks promising. And he's first choice in the U21s.
I know, youtube vids don't tell the whole story, but anyway:

Ryan Bertrand || New Roberto Carlos || HD

Is Lass really that cheap?

If I were offered a straight swap torres for Hazard and Llorente I'd take it.

So that'll be my thannnnnnnnnnng

Sell the fucker to Man City for 70M +

I thought Torres 'got' us Liverpool fans. This is worse than Keegan saying he wanted to leave.

I want Torres and I'm fucking keeping him.

I don't know what's going on here but it doesn't add up.

A romantic part of me wonders whether Dalglish and Torres are playing a game to get NESV spending.

Get that David Luiz from Benfica in to piss the Chavs off.

I really liked that Lavezzi at Napoli too when he played against us. I'd get him in.

Saying to the board "Consider the Chelsea offer" has burned his bridges, Kenny wouldn't let him do that as a ploy.

Do we have that as an official quote, Asbo?

Far as I know he handed a request in on Thursday, then on Friday we put in a sensible bid for Suarez and it gets accepted.

It's unfortunately as unromantic as you could hope for.

LFC reject Torres transfer request
28th Jan 2011 - Latest News

Liverpool FC have confirmed that Fernando Torres has on Friday evening submitted a transfer request. The request has been rejected.

The Club said in a statement: "Fernando Torres tonight submitted a written transfer request, which has been rejected by Liverpool.

"Fernando is under a long-term contract and the Club expects him to honour the commitment he made to Liverpool FC and its supporters when he signed the agreement."

Maybe, but I don't think we have all the facts.

I'm keeping an open mind on Torres, I think we'll not let him go anyway, and I'll judge him personally based on his form and body language on Wednesday.

I just can't help thinking he was getting sick of the transfer situation but he doesn't *really* want to leave us. Not for them anyway.
