What about the croation fella i keep reading is stuck in some airport waiting for us... is he gonna come ?

I hope he goes there to be honest, he's not getting a look in here, even ahead of the perennially disappointing Origi. He may as well go there and potentially raise his stock.
Yeah, I mean he's behind Ox and Shaq now, bet he'll be behind Keita as well when he is resurrected.

Poor Taki doesn't get his own thread. Southampton is a perfect move for him. Hopefully he can begin proving himself at this level.

With the injuries they have in the squad, Minamino should be able to get quite a bit of playing time. Interesting to see where Hasenhuttl plays him.

Good... S’ton can pay £20m+ for him at the end of the season so as we can get back some of our cash they’ve been holding for us.

[article]Lyon defender Marcelo turned down a deadline-day move to Liverpool after only being offered a six-month contract at the Premier League champions, as reported by L’Equipe.

L’Equipe back up claims from England, saying that Klopp’s resurgent side made contract with the veteran Marcelo. But the former Besiktas stopper was not impressed by a short-term, six-month contract on offer at Anfield.

Marcelo will instead see out the season at Ligue 1 title-chasers Lyon before becoming a free agent in July.[/article]

He could still have become a free agent, but a free agent with premier league & champions league medals, which would have added a few noughts to his salary

Let's see if we go back for Duje Caleta-Car in the summer

[article]Liverpool forced Braga chiefs into a meeting with head coach Carlos Carvalhal after submitting a bid for David Carmo, according to a report.

Jurgen Klopp‘s men ended a busy deadline day by bringing in two new defenders.

Ex-Preston man Ben Davies and Schalke’s Ozan Kabak have arrived to offer much-needed support at the back.

However, uncertainty remained for much of the day over whether Liverpool would land Kabak. Indeed, the deal hinged on the Bundesliga club bringing in Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi as a replacement first.

As such, reports throughout Monday linked Liverpool with further targets, including Carmo.

According to O Jogo (via Sport Witness), the Reds in fact submitted a firm bid for the 21-year-old on Monday.

What’s more, the bid amounted to a ‘considerable’ fee, making Braga president Antonio Salvador consult manager Carvalhal about the prospect of the player leaving.

However, Carvalhal rejected the proposal, insisting that the player remains on his current contract.

Carmo has played 18 games in all competitions this season, including 10 of Braga’s 16 Liga NOS games.[/article]
