I wanted Denmark or Switzerland with a slight preference for the Danes. I make Denmark slight favourites just because they have the only world class player between the 2 teams but I am as confident as anyone can be when 2 average teams play these type of games.

I really didnt want the Swedes as those games are always incredible difficult to predict.

It will be two tough games and there's a chance we will play Bendtner which I do find somewhat worrying.

I dont think Ireland will be able to bully us physical mind you and perhaps our dangermens at this stage apart from Eriksen is Pione Sisto and Thomas Delaney. Dolberg too if he finds some form again/gets to play for Ajax who seems to freeze him out somewhat.

Your chance is that we are still a very young team and that might prove a hurdle if/when it gets very nervy.

Who are Irelands players to look for?

Ireland's players to look for?

This Thomas Delaney might be the key. Reckon he's actually Irish and will prove it over the 2 legs.

As with most Irish teams over the years we are a gestalt entity with no stars but great team spirit and very hard working. That said, Duffy at the back is a rock and is part of a very solid defence. In midfield Hendricks is good and I have a good feeling about him and Harry Arter developing into a very good partnership at CM.

We called up 31 players over the last 2 group games and 19 of them play at Championship level so that tells you that this squad is not top quality. Added to that, a lot of our Premier League players do not hold down regular places in their respective teams (Randolph, McClean, Walters, Long, etc).

On paper Denmark have the better players and if they can match Ireland for passion and aggression they will win.

Feel sorry for Sweden. They seem more than good enough to qualify and may well have done with any other draw. Odds stacked against that happening now.

Denmark are definitely one of the better draws we could have gotten but they are still clear favourites in my book. O'Neil will inevitably try to keep it tight away from home and set up the return leg as a winner take all fixture. There's not much tactical variation in Ireland because we just don't have a lot of options, we will be organised get plenty of players behind the ball and look to spring counter attacks. If Denmark can match Ireland for aggression and organisation their quality should be the difference, alot of better footballing sides have fallen into that trap over the years though and think they just had to turn up to win. O'Neil is never going to win over many neutrals with his style but his team's are always difficult to beat.

Just as Wales was also the favorite.

It's nice that we can help our Mexican brothers by supplying them with a decent manager.

There are also two Taytos. And the northern ones are shite!

Do you want to say that to my face? Doya bitch?
