From that photo he has a Jeremy Beadle hand. Hope it doesn't have an effect on his balance.

unbelievably excited.
Me too. This could be a real proper cracking signing.
i've never heard of him.
In my never ending war against Liverpools refusal to sign and nurture young british talent im always trying to find the next big thing to moan about when we dont sign. I was looking forward to moaning when this lad went to United or Arsenal.
Im chuffed to fuck.
Hes young and it could turn out to be fuck all but as a signal of our intent it makes me feel warm inside.
Hes being spoken of as the new Rooney/Walcott. If hes half as good as that we'll have a great player in a few years.

we must have payed a couple of mill at least if that's the case.
I would say so yeah. They didnt seem to blink when Fulham (appara) offered a Million a while ago.

Good news.

Does anyone remember striker Utd signed from Burnley, Cofie, that everyone supposedly wanted? What's the deal with him now - progressing?
he seems to be a potential cunt
That seems to be a somewhat bleak take on the signing

What did you expect, an instant impact?

I asked how he was progressing. What's the point of that stupid question?

he's whored himself out to clubs, sitting in vip boxes getting wanked over. its sickening. good luck to him, but i hope the piece of shit gets loaned out to eastern europe

yeah made to stay with some fat hairy brute in a foster home, where he has to do chores after training, and gets the shit kicked out of him on a regular basis. trying to send coded postcards back to his alcoholic dad signalling for help. but good luck to him

;D

I dont think he really did anything newsworthy after joining United. Also United have far more impressive youngsters in his age group - Ravel Morrison and David Petrucci.

Ah apologies Count.

After I posted I wondered whether it was a joke, but couldn't be bothered to come back to the computer and edit my post.

No apologies necessary Ken.
It was as I said a bad joke in the first place.

You hope our new signing is shit? Has Brendan got a third account?

The way our youth set up appears to work coming to liverpool is essentially career suicide.

Insua and N'Gog have been given a lot of time in the first team, whilst Pacheco and Kelly appear to be on the fringes of the squad as well.

It's not all doom and gloom as far as youngsters go.

10 things you need to know about Raheem Sterling

Manchester United are leading the race to land QPR wonderkid Raheem Sterling as a host of top Premier League clubs scramble for his signature.

So just who is this precocious talent? Read on for the 10 things you need to know about the 15-year-old Hoops starlet...

1. He was born in Harlesden in North London in December 1993.

2. He joined Queens Park Rangers aged just 10-years-old.

3. A lightening-quick striker with good all-round ability, he has already been compared to Theo Walcott, while some coaches rate him as highly as Wayne Rooney at the same age.

4. QPR's head of development Steve Gallen says of his young protege: "He has loads of natural ability. This boy can pass, shoot, head it, score goals, tackle, defend, anything. He will be in our reserves quite soon and we will protect him from there."

5. Despite being just 14-years-old, Sterling is already a regular in QPR's under-18 side, scoring on his debut for the team in October.

6. He has also already played for England having made his debut for the Under-16 side earlier this month in the Sky Sports Victory Shield against Northern Ireland at Chester City's Deva Stadium. He came on late in the first half and provided the assist for Matthias Fanimo to score England's second in a 2-0 win.

7. His rapid rise through the football ranks could continue with QPR boss Jim Magilton considering giving him a taste of the first team when he turns 15 next month. If he does, he will become the youngest first-teamer in British football history, breaking the record of Barnsley's Reuben Noble-Lazarus who made his debut at 15 years and 45 days last season.

8. Sterling has already attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs. As well as Manchester City; Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Fulham have all scouted the youngster.

9. He may already have his sights on joining one of Europe's top clubs - he and his agent were VIP guests at Anfield last month when Liverpool took on Manchester United.

10. Steve Gallen is confident QPR can keep hold of their prized asset. He said: "I'm not one bit bothered about the other clubs. QPR are a big club and at no stage has he said he wants to go.

"He's not interested in all the stuff around him - whether it's in the street, the car park or wherever; he just wants to play football all the time.

"It is a big ambition of his to represent England. I'm just really pleased he can do that while playing for QPR."

*ignores Neil, as he is not quite sure where he is going with that one*
just waiting for the second coming of john barnes.

Ha, you never know.
The bits I found out about him were very encouraging.
Dante's may be right and he has a large ego for a young lad, but that is a great thing, these kids need big ego's and confidence in themselves and a bit of an edge.
I think that is half the problem with the average players we have, they don't have enough belief in their own abilities.
As to if that is a trait that dovetails with Rafa's philosophy on players, I am not sure
