I think in the modern game it's rare that a player is bought with a specific formation in mind. Unless you are a team like Barcelona, where the "system" is more important than any individual. Usually clubs buy the best players they can get and coaches are expected to adjust their tactics and formations depending on which players they have at their disposal. So in that sense Suarez and Young are interchangeable. My prediction is that if we do, hopefully, get one of them, we will probably cool the interest in the other.
If we get Suarez, we might still get a cheaper winger though, like N'Zogbia.
