I don't see aqua as one of our more creative players, simple as that. frankly if he is shipped out in the summer I wouldn't give a fuck as I think we can easily (EASILY!) do better for the money he cost.
 
Yossi has been useful for us, however, let's not lose sight of the fact that he's not world class, he's a squad player who blows hot and cold. We've got far more important players to worry about, I don't care that much if he leaves.

Well that's a daft thing to say too. I expect we could for the money he cost, but we will be lucky to get half that based on his season with us, and that is why I would not let him go, He is a better player than that. I have seen enough in flashes with Aqualani to know that he is a decent player.

Neets, Yossi only blows hot and cold because he is used all over the place, and has been in an out as per usual. and Benitez being Benitez , has used him more in his least useful position (on the left) than anywhere else, even Spider would know that 😉

Sell him..

His constant moaning about not playing every single game pisses me off..

There are obviously a few bad eggs in the squad.. get rid of anyone that doesnt truely want to be here.. the next two years are going to be very hard and to hear over rated players like Benayoun say they deserve more makes me cringe.

Yeh, but at least he can watch them win stuff from the comfort of his bench surroundings.
 
How does Yossi know that Ancelotti wants him? Did the Chavs contact him direct? If so doesn't that constitute tapping up?
 
It's disgraceful, isn't it? I mean, imagine wanting to play every game. The cheek of it!

I don't think he's been out of line in expressing his desire to play more games. He must look at the current batch of players and believe that he should be featuring more often than not, and yet still he finds himself used largely as a utility player.

I can see both sides here. Ultimately, he's never going to be quite good enough to hold down a starting berth in a top team but the fact of the matter is, he remains one of our most creative players, and there are many more we should be looking to offload before him. Besides, another season of drastically lowered expectations could see us valuing players like Yossi a lot more than we do now.

Don't agree with this. Before the Real Madrid game Yossi came out saying how we all need to fight for our place and take the opportunities when they we're given. Many applauded his stance at the time and felt it was something Babel could learn from. Yossi went on a tremendous run of form before his injury and was used less and less from that point on. He was shunted out on the left and as we all know he struggles to make an impact out there.

He is very creative, can carry the ball into dangerous positions and is a quite a clever player. It's not Sunderland trying to sign him, it's Chelsea. Yes he can be frustrating at times but we are not exactly in a position to sell players who are capable of creating something. For the reported 6 million we get for him I bet we will have trouble replacing him or finding anyone better.

He's not really complained ... Last year, it was his agent who cause the issued ... This year, Rafa had a falling out with him - and it seems he's off. I guess we'll rely on Dani Pacheco (I hope he's ready) or a free from the Bundesliga (hopefully as successful as voronin and/or degen) to replace what he did offer. Surely Brendan will be happy then - at least almost everyone will agree with him then!
 
I'm bemused at the stance towards Yossi on here by some. He is an excellent squad player. I've noticed Brendan has always hated him which is ridiculous.
 
Maybe they want him to replace Cole, I don't see why us selling him for under 10mill is worth it.
He tends to play well in the squad and tends to score and create and right about now we don't have many players capable of doing that, and I'm nt confident we will get any in the summer with that ability
