My mate will be tagging along who teaches Latin and Greek to scousers. Beat that on the cool stakes. You can't.
We is gonna be clevereded out of the room with the amount of phds knocking round.
As you can probably tell, I don't have one, I will be forced to rely on amusing anecdotes to cover my lack of intellect, then when they run out I'll simply smile & nod or try to turn the conversation towards smartphones, computers or televisions in a less than subtle manner.
Fear not, people with PhDs are as daft as it comes if you get them off their specialism.
You can join me in the 'smiling and nodding corner' where I'll sit and desperately try to follow conversations with my dictionary.
I was waiting until about now to decide - and my luck ran out.
I had to work for free for three months - and got halfway through before my full time job realised they were paying me for not being there (!) If I'd gotten this far while being paid I'd be over. But I haven't been paid for 4 weeks now, and won't get paid again until Jan.
the flip side is I'm losing some weight.
Gutted. Ah well, maybe next time.

Krissr - I've never been to Salt Dog Slims, Igloo, Shipping Forecast, and there is a new bar by Mojos as well apparently.

I've been to Salt Dog Slims last year. Stay clear of the 'Atomic Dog' - it's really hot.
I like shipping forecast, but it doesn't bother me not going there.

No. Bierkellar sounds fucking terrible to me. I love the fact it is upstairs though.
Bier is a small place on Newington off Bold Street. It has loads of quality beer, fantastic pies and shows all the Liverpool games. The Hummingbirds seem to live in there.

It really is expensive and for being 'Authentic Bavarian' there's only one beer that's actually from Bavaria.
