Had his operation a couple of weeks ago.

Yup 2 weeks ago tomorrow and the recovery is going very well BUT I'm not gonna make it to the shindig unfortunately. I'm not supposed to get into a car for another few weeks so getting there is an issue; also, when I do eventually turn up to one of these get togethers (the next one, I promise) I wanna be in top drinking form to show some of you young ones how it's done properly 🙂 and unfortunately I'd be too worried about falling off my crutches and fucking-up the hip again (I tend not to do things in moderation) and thirdly my wife would give me grief for weeks after and it's unfair to her as she has been amazing over the last 2 weeks.

It really is a shame because this looks likely to be the best one yet but as mentioned previously I'll definitely be at the next one.
