WWIII Return of the Ruskie

Not sure about anything but that Chechen general died at that airport in that convoy, the Chechens themselves said that. Mind you I don't speak Chechen so I'm going off English translations of Ukrainian translations of chechen info. Maybe it all leads back to false sources but there's quite a few of them.

Yeah but if you were on a hunter squad, you'd say that.. if a crack team wanted to go dark.

It doesn't sit right with me.

It's a load of bollocks, Froggy. "Kyiv will be ringed with tanks and howitzers within hours" – what? Was this written 5 days ago? This is what Putin probably thought would happen before the invasion, but clearly that's not what happened – in reality the Russian advance stalled, their logistics sucks and casualties horrific. They had more soldiers killed in 3 days of action in Ukraine than in the first 3 years in Afghanistan, it's totally unsustainable.

And to argue that Russians will weather the economic sanctions doesn't take into account the key factor that the war is so unpopular within Russia that their state TV still cannot even admit that it's happening at all (I kid you not – they report all the fighting is in Donbas in Eastern Ukraine), while almost every Russian celebrity, athlete and – unheard of – even 2 members of Russian Parliament publicly came out against it. Russians can endure economic suffering in service of a greater purpose – not as a result of a war that no one wants except the evil midget in charge. Over 200 of Russian POW's have already been captured by the Ukrainians and they all say the same thing – they have no idea what they are doing in Ukraine and they don't really want to fight. Putin is fucked.
I hope you're right mate. The world stands behind Ukraine - at least in words. And one must applaud the UK sending weapons (if we believe what we've been told).
However that article presents a strong (and easily fact checked) economic case for the real reasons behind the war (security my arse).
I hope Ukraine stands stong and fucks that bastard - but with a military force x10 that of Ukraine's I can not see Putin not finishing what he started, especially with the West sidelined having neutered themselves. He simply cannot afford to not achieve his objectives.

Just good practice to state where things are from.
Well as I said. I don't know! As if is important. Facts are facts so if they check out then who published that is largely irrelevant. However if you're that keen then copy posts it into Google and I'm sure you'll have your answer 😉

I've got to mention I'm at a ca. 500 person wedding reception in Wenzhou at the moment and of course the main topic of conversation is Russia / Putin.
There is not one person that I've spoken to who is supporting them and the overarching feeling is Putin is crazy.

How old is he? 69? Early dementia?

Is the fact that, and I'll l whisper this, the Ukranians almost seem to be winning this, evidence that a Chinese invasion on Taiwan would also be a failure?

I say this because whilst the Chinese army is much larger than the Russian army, as I understand it the Russian army is much better suited to project power and handle invasions, and it certainly has much more experience in these operations. Further, China doesn't share a land border with Taiwan further complicating it, and whilst the Ukrainian army has worked with Nato for the last eight years to bolster its forces and technology, Taiwan has had a very well funded and advanced army which has worked closely with the US for decades now preparing for this very scenario, it arguably should be in better shape.

Outside of nuclear madness, this also casts into doubt the plausibility of a Russian invasion in the Baltics everyone fears so much too. If Nato equipment in a non members hands is causing Russia such issues and casualties, what the hell will they do when they're against it in its native users hands?

Putin unfortunately is still likely to defeat the Ukranian resistance by drowning them in the blood of the thousands and thousands of dead Russian service personnel he'll keep sending until Ukranies ammo runs dry, but maybe what this war shows the world is that even for the biggest, and most powerful militaries, invasions against democratic nations that have no desire to let that change, and have even a moderately capable and modern defensive deterrent, are pyrrhic at best, and could potentially topple their own regime at worst.

Hopefully there are enough people in the Russian military who won't allow such madness to happen.

To be fair to Putin, if I had the option to go nuclear I probably would have done it a few times a year

Why haven't we banned this Dantes cunt yet? I'd rather have several other posters back who were banned for less shit than this dickhead who is ruining this place for everyone. He's on ignore for me - but I can see that he's still stinking this place out with his utter fucking shit.

Who do I have to fuck for this to happen?

Key difference between Ukraine and Taiwan is size and location.

Taiwan could be taken within a day if anyone so wished.

Yes but Putin has just put it on high alert for “defence”, just in case Nato fires first. Just like how NATO and the rest started whole thing[emoji854]

Edit ;not sure this is the actual team ? Some of the comments seem to indicate otherwise noticed after I posted

You could just uncritically be posting misinformation.

You mean like most of the internet? Or Rosco? Whatever I posted you could just go fact check it - do it!

Haha, yes. Like them.
Not my job to fact check what you post though 😉
But I am curious, so I will see if I find the source.
