I was watching Rojo in the Argentina game and I have to say any defender that uses a rabona to clear the ball in his own penalty area is not a good defender by definition.

Looks like we're considering Blind, Rodriguez and Rojo as alternatives to Moreno.

Signing Rodriguez is a no brainer.

Aren't Wolfsburg flush though?

It'd surely require a bigger bid than what we've put in for Moreno.

Indeed. They're loaded. 2 years left on his current deal may influence the price. We're talking 20 mill I guess.

Has anyone mentioned the Aussie, Mathew Leckie yet? I had never heard of him let alone seen him play until the Chile match but came away very impressed.

Not sure how much technical ability he has but his pace was unreal, one of the fastest players I have seen in the tournament thus far. Certainly an athlete.

@Roopy how good is he?

He's got great raw pace, but his decision making and final touch/ball are really awry. He'll impress for Aus cos they play on the counter attack and he's absolutely lightning, but his end product is badly missing.

Pretty decent player. Played well against Chile.

Exciting prospect given that he is essentially our back up in that position to Robbie Kruse - who missed the world cup due to a knee injury.

Leckie made a mistake by signing for a new club just before the WC.

After that Chile performance his agent has recieved numerous enquiries from clubs for him.

Was going to stay up for the 2nd half in case Dzagoev came on. I didn't but heard he really improved him.

I've been saying this for a few years now but surely he is going to move this window?

Why didnt he start?

Why didn't Prince Boateng and Essien start against team USA?
We will never know.
#Managerswithhubris

Actually the manager said it was tactical. He wanted to go 4-4-2 and to bring on Boateng in the 2nd half. Still stupid decision, but he said it was tactical.

Moreno is alarming: when the fans are delighted he's being sold, it's never a good sign. Inter fans were gutted when we signed Phillipe. Delighted we're walking away. Same for Lallana

He should nick the Blind bit off Daley and call himself Blind Memphis Depay. He would then sound like a cool as fuck lost bluesman.
