Dude 12 mill is a steal.

It's not really, not when he comes with alot of baggage and he's notoriously inconsistent. There's no in between with him, you never know what you're going to get. It would be like another less eccentric version of Mario. He's scored 13 goals in three seasons, that's on a par with Lallana (12) who missed practically all of last season, and we all know your opinion of Lallana, so I don't know why you're championing this balloon so enthusiastically. Probably because he's not English and every now and then he'll rip the piss out of a player, before falling back into mediocrity for another 10 games.

Shaquiri played for Stoke. Consider that.

I will. I'll also consider that he scored 3 goals in each of his two seasons at Inter, prior to going to Stoke. And in his last season at Bayern he scored 2.
How many games did he start for Bayern and Inter?
Exactly.

Yeah and he was pretty young as well. So I think just saying "well he didn't score too many goals" doesn't paint the right picture.

Andy Robertson played for Hull & cost 8m.

I couldn't give a fuck who he's played for. He's gonna cost a fraction of what even most bang average players cost these days & our transfer team (who have an almost flawless record since klopp came in) want him.

On top of that he's just scored a winner at the WC. The alternative is relying upon inexperienced kids/reserves whenever we have a midfield injury crisis or want to rotate in cup games.

It's a no brainer for me this.

EDIT: also, klopp & Co have improved everyone who has come in, so it's not a stretch to imagine them getting more out of this player that has a lot of tools in his locker.

We need to be looking at Yann Sommer seriously. Scouting goalkeepers is pretty difficult as you need to watch them consistently over a long period of time, but I've found Sommer impressive almost every time I've seen him.

The bizarre penalty OG aside, he made an absolutely world class save today (the second one here)

How's everyone feeling about Allison for 57m? I know it is a fool's game judging over a few games, but there's nothing about him that firmly conveys calm assurance.

I'm almost positive that Klopp will stick with karius.

The alternatives are either overpriced or not much of an improvement.

The fan base will hate it so he'll be taking a risk there but I just can't see him splashing much cash on a minor upgrade & the major upgrades are ridiculously overpriced cos everyone saw the CL final so assumes we're desperate for a new keeper.

It's the worst time for us to buy a new keeper in business terms.
