Just checked and confirmed that South Africa drew with Mexico in 2020, so would seem to check out. Every other previous host has been reasonably strong.

Well need some explanation on the reason for that from VAR's 7 officials because I don't see why that was office unless they will just make it up.

If the Ecuador player headed it, and it went to the player behind him (which it did), then it's offside.
