Fair comment, but if we'd scored from a couple more of our chances Green's blooper wouldn't have mattered.

Green will be OK. He has LFC's best ever goalkeeper coaching him.
 
It's not great for England though. Algeria have to get a result now - they'll be desperate. They're not very good but if they get the first goal they could cause England problems. They have enough pace to trouble England's CBs.
 
It was an extremely dull and average game that we won thanks to some ridiculous mistakes by Algeria. But yeah, top of the group!

What a shit day of football. When is this world cup going to take off? We have not seen a good cross, a good shot from distance, a good header, or anything really exciting really. I blame this shit new ball, no one seems to be able to time their connection with it.

Yeah, most of the matches have been like crap premiership games. There's very little creativity on display (except from the Argies).
 
And a striker hasn't scored yet in the tournament. Weird.

My main gripe is the empty seats at the stadiums though. Fuck FIFA.

After the first round of games FIFA should have the "balls" to admit that they've got it wrong with this new ball - tell Adidas to fuck off and introduce a heavier ball that the player can control instead of the beach ball they're currently using.
