Wilson bids

Wilson is competing with shaq for a place in the squad. At least he is fit, I would keep him ahead of lallana

Doc: good points well made. We've previously referred to the very strong instinct Klopp obv.has for building a club fit for success from the roots upwards, and what I guess I had in mind was that (perhaps) in his view that goal will be best achieved, or at least furthered, by being the kind of club which will allow Harry Wilson/A.N.Other in his situation to get the benefit of a move when the benefit to us of his staying put might not ultimately be that significant. Clearly a moot point though.

Not sure why we are keeping Lallana and letting go of this guy. There is no place for sentiments if we are chasing the league.

Lallana struggles to keep fit and has little upside to his performance. Reinventing him in another position is as pointless as Studge's been for the last 2 seasons.

Wilson is young, willing and is full of potential. And that left foot.

Klopp needs to keep things fresh, and Lallana is not that.

When Klopp figures out Wilson can be a super sub for free kicks alone we'll be better off. I wanted to see him yesterday.

as a man who lives in hull and has a son who likes to watch derby (where his mum is from), i can tell you that from many, many times having watched wilson, other that his highlight reel he is not particularly good at anything else. yes, he can spank it from distance and score wonderful goals but he is certainl yno adam lallana, despite being eight years younger and what not.

he will never have the guile, workrate and creativity of lallana, just like he will not score from 30 yards every week at this level. the reason we are looking at keeping lallana and letting go of wilson is three fold; there is more value in selling wilson, lallana is better, and wilson will never be good enough to feature regularly in our first team

I'll take your word for it then. Truth be told I am more frustrated with Lallana than I have hopes for Wilson. I saw him in the playoffs with Derby and he was abit of a meh. If you had watched him enough to make a sound judgement then fair play.

Have to confess that my first instinct was to sell whilst his stock is high.

Hopefully he does better than our other exports to Bournemouth.

Kent might be going to Leeds as well.
Leaving us a bit short in the attacking areas.

Don't you worry about that, Ox and Lallana being fit for a few weeks will be like new signings.

As for Wilson, I hope it works out for him there. It is the Liverpool loan kiss of death though that he'll never make it with us once he's had the loan of death. Hope we get a good fee for him in 12months time.

Bad move in my eyes get rid of lallana who brings jack shit to the team.
He's actually looked quite decent in that more defensive midfield position Klopp has been trying him in, he goes flying forward from there when he gets the chance. He may surprise us all.

Liverpool winger Harry Wilson has joined Bournemouth on a season-long loan after Eddie Howe identified the Wales international as an ideal replacement for David Brooks. The Wales international impressed in pre-season for Liverpool, who placed a £25m valuation on his head earlier in the summer, but has been allowed to leave as Jürgen Klopp can not offer the regular first team football he needs this term.

Wilson, 22, flourished on loan at Derby County last season when he helped Frank Lampard’s team reach the Championship play-off final. Bournemouth will pay a loan fee of £2.5m plus £500,000 in performance-related bonuses. There is no option for a permanent transfer and Liverpool did not receive another offer they deemed suitable for the player this summer. Howe, the Bournemouth manager, views Wilson as a natural replacement for Brooks who is facing three months on the sidelines with an ankle injury.

Maybe, but will be good to see how he does in the premiership. He could have what it takes. Harder to tell in players like him.

Im disappointed weve sent him out again but as loan deals go I think Bournemouth is about as good as we could have hoped for. He will get Premier League experience without being in a side thats struggling for survival from day one. They are a decent side and by the end of the season we will know alot more about his ability at the top level.
