Benitez shouldnt be going anywhere, he is an experienced manager who will see us out of this mess and will drive us on to further success

People seem to forget that the longevity and the experience is a huge benefit that you can't get from firing a manager and hiring the latest fashionable name
And what exactly is it that fills you with such confidence..?

The piss poor team selections, formations, tactics and substitutions? The fact that he refuses to learn from his (glaringly obvious) mistakes? The fact that he NEVER picks the strongest team available to him? The paper thin squad? The fact that half the players look like they couldn't be arsed anymore?

Why on earth do you KNOW he's gonna pull us out of this mess he's put us into?

He's overdoing the awful English and grammar because, quite frankly, no one could be that thick.

Are you quite sure about that? Not saying you're wrong, but...

Nah, this isn't Momo..style, grammar and punctuation is all wrong.

because he's a top manager and is already working on making the squad stronger, booting out the underperformers and making changes, you might not see them immediately but you have to understand he is working in the short and long term to strive for improvement and also doing it on a constantly changing (and vanishing) budget. You need to have some faith and patience

If Rafa stays I am certain we will not get fourth. We simply have lost our way totally and show no signs of being able to put together the kind of run needed to get their.

If we do miss out on Europe then we lost over 30M. Furthermore if we Rafa stays and we finish 5th of lower he will be fired with a potential 12M more in compensation.

So that's a -42M.

If we sack Rafa now we lose 12M but at least have some chance of getting fourth and that 30M.

We still have many of the players that got us to 2nd last year and with the right motivation they may just get us to fourth, if not we are still looking at the same lost of money.

But one thing is certain, keeping Rafa til May means we definately won't be in the CL next season.

We must act now.

Watching Chelsea score with ease 4 times in the first 30 mins after watching us stutter for 90 made me sick.

As for your thinly veiled comments; whilst you have a point about not scaring off newbies, we should also consider what kind of newbie you want to attract here and what THEY can bring.

Otherwise you might as well keep the spammers promising to turn your DVD into an Auobot.

Whilst its clear to everyone that we look clueless, inept and completing lacking in desire and motivation; is anyone else getting slightly hacked off with Pat's "I fucking told you so" demeanour.

So you suggested once that Benitez was useless, you used to suggest previous to that, that he was a genius and we would win loads with him.

Like Ballague, you can't lose. But what really grates me, and I mean really grates me, is the perception I'm getting that you are being fucking smug about this. Here's a message, for your "I told you so" to come true, our club (not just fucking Benitez) had to fail. To see you taking pleasure in it sticks in my craw. Vulture.
Not at all mate, I'm just saying that alot of people suggest we cannot afford to sack him at this stage. I don't think we can afford to keep him. It's not going to get better.

Ryan.

It's clear that Rafa is having quite a spot of bother this season.

It's okay to admit that - even if it chaps your ass to think that Dreamy will believe he has a superior football intellect if you reverse your position.

It's okay because Dreamy will never understand why he's still not right about Rafa - even when he's right that Rafa should be replaced.

Very good.

I don't care how good Rafa is certain aspects of managing Liverpool. His task when he was brought in was to bring the league home.

He isn't capable of it and must go.

The rest is immaterial now.

Patience, you say?

5 of Rafa's 6 seasons here, we've been out of the title chase by Christmas.

How patient would you have us be, considering that all evidence is pointing to last year being the exception, rather then the rule?

I've hardly been online over the last month or so. I'd happily analyse our performance(s), but I fear it'd get lost under the maelstrom of "Sack the cunt" posts" and really can't see the bother.

Sorry but I think you are extremely optimistic. Have you not forget, Spurs, City, Villa ? They are miles better than us this season.

I'm not prepared to write off fourth just yet.

Far stranger things have happened in football.

Whilst I'm not going to get into a 'sack the cunt' shitfight, I don't see how Rafa can do anything about the mess we're in, a mess which he has largely created.

I think even he is finding it difficult to come up with excuses.

I'm amazed you can see a way out, Ryan.

Ok so try the Stoke game. I'm honestly interested to read your thoughts on this one.

We have an incredilble negative set out and never looked like scoring and even though we should have nicked it a draw was a fair result as neither team did enough to win which is not acceptable from us.

Pat, the play should have opened up I thought with Aquilani and Maxi being brought on sooner, but I though all in all, with what we had available, and given our lack of confidence and how Stoke were going to play, we got it right. We went for power against them, and in all honesty, didn't really have a lot else we could go with.

Even the hardened Rafa critic Andy Gray agreed with most of what Rafa did yesterday, even the exclusion of Aquilani (which the rest of SS hammered), because he's been out for ages and played most of the game and extra time midweek.

You say it was negative, what we're our other options? Ryan fucking Babel?

He can go, I have no problem with that. But who can we bring in, especially when the owners are not making any fund available for transfer.

I doubt we can attract any top manager without the financial backing from the owners.

Hey!

Yeah that's the crux of the problem, big pay off and disruption etc.. We need something though.

I lurk, just too lazy to post when most of the posts are just for the sake of arguments.

Our biggest problem now is money, which we aren't getting from the owners.

Unless some bright guys can actually convince me that Sammy Lee can take over from Rafa and ensure us of a CL spot next season 😉

Babel on the right yes. We had zero pace anywhere on the pitch. Nobody to hurt them.

and Aquaman in the middle. He cost 20m he should be able to handle any team away from home or not be bought in the first place. We can't afford 20m some game players.

Babel is shit and far from the answer, I think he summed himself up (again) in his appearance against Reading and his subsequent comments on Twitter. Yeah, he might lack confidence, but he also lacks brains and a first touch too. He's garbage and far from the answer to play on the right or lead the line.

I didn't say Aquilani couldn't handle Stoke, I said he played 120 minutes midweek after months on the sidelines pretty much, it was understandable why he was on the bench.

The entire team barely broke a sweat in midweek ;D

I'd love to see Daniel given a chance but again under Rafa it won't happen. I really believe our only hope is to cut him lose. Even Kenny til May I think would make a better fist of things than Rafa at the moment. He has become totally unaware.

if as expected rafa is given the boot then the mew man in charge will be expected to do more with less because I seriously doubt large funds are going to be forthcoming. plus there is rafa's pay off to consider. hiddink isn't a bad choice because first and foremost he would make liverpool play football again because currently we've forgotten how.
