I honestly don't give a shit about the rest. They're not good enough.

It's hard to imagine any outside of that five getting in any top side. Even then, it's hard to make a case for some of them.

We have a HUGE rebuilding job, & a ginormous shiny new stand full of overpriced corporate seats isn't gonna cut it.
 
Benteke is good enough to play for us. So is Milner.
I also like Moreno and Ibe.

You're probably right about the rest, but I wouldn't mind Lallana and Can as squad players, even if they're not good enough to play every week.

Edit: forgot Ings and Gomez. Haven't seen enough of Gomez to make a call, but Ings is good player too

The rest of them, even Sturridge, can fuck off.
 
Sakho vs Watford. Just seen the highlights again. That was a defensive mess.
He can't quite cut it in this league, really.
 
So, I guess we are back to picking on our less favoured players now when nothing is working for the unit. 🙂

Can't quite cut it based on what?

People are incredibly fickle when it comes to judging a players overall performance.

He was absolutely vital for us just before his injury and quite easily was, and still is our best defender.

I'd also add aside from IMO being a great player, his attitude and character on and off the pitch is an absolute delight and we are lucky to have him!
 
Sakho is ok against slower Center Forwards, but there aren't too many of those in PL anymore. He seems to struggle against pacy players in general . That said, his passing and vision is really good and probably enough to counter balance his weaknesses

You're overreacting. And I don't agree that we need a huge rebuilding job - see my post in the Honeymoon thread.
 
Carra reckons we need at least four new players: a goalkeeper, TWO centre backs and a holding midfielder.

So, no surprises, he's not a fan of Mignolet, Sakho, Lovren or Lucas. I think we knew that already, though.

The standard of players at all top Clubs isn't what it was 5, 6, 7 years ago tbf.

Not saying that makes our players as good as some clearly aren't up to it but it's clear the quality of the League isn't what it was.

We need a new goalie, one new centreback, a pacy athletic ball winner, a composed playmaker and a goal-scoring winger.

Keep Bogdan, Clyne, Gomez, Sakho, Skrtel, Lovren, Flanagan, Brad Smith, Moreno, Henderson, Coutinho, Ibe, Can, Ings, Firmino, Benteke, Sturridge, Origi.

That means Mignolet, Toure, Milner, Allen, Lucas, Teixeira, Lallana, Balotelli and probably Markovic can all go.
 
Yeah, there's a few, such asas lucys that would rise to the top of that list regardless of which end of 5-0 -humping we were on
 
Klopp has a fucking huge job ahead of him, there's barely a player who has the balls and the talent to wear our shirt.

I have so little affinity with this bunch, it doesn't look like I'm watching Liverpool any more just a collection of losers. We barely have any songs for the players any more, none of the wasters deserve it.

I have huge faith in Jurgen Klopp however, it's the old Liverpool Way - get the right man at the top and let him build a team in his image.

Our biggest issue is our lack of goals, nothing else.

It is our major malfunction and has been for a long time now, I don't agree that the players lack fight or aren't trying, they are just shagged out and not scoring enough to be confident.

I want Ings back and hendo and Sturridge ... It really would make a huge fucking difference to have that energy back in the side...

The only player I truly have no desire to see play for us is Mig.
 
Sakho, Clyne, can, gomez, coutinho, studge, Origi and ings. Only squad players I think are worth keeping. No I didn't forget hendo but he can go as well.
 
Players like Mignolet, Bogdan, Balotelli, Lucas, Benteke, Milner, Allen, Ilori, Wisdom, Lallana etc. all need to go. Any offers for Skrtel, Lovren & Sakho should be considered. I like Benteke but he doesn't suit what we need/how we play.

Very few of the current team are worthy of wearing the shirt.
 
Looking at that team yesterday, it may be the worst collection weve had since Hodgsons time. There are a few who would make good squad players and the likes of Henderson Clyne Can Coutinho and Sturridge could be good in the right team surrounded by better players but by and large what we have is very mediocre

If everyone is fit we have the following who are good enough for Liverpool, perhaps not first team, but squad certainly:

Clyne
Skrtel
Moreno
Can
Henderson
Coutinho
Benteke
Sturridge
Ings
Milner
Flanagan

Maybe even add Lovren, Origi, Ibe and Lallana in the squad, plus a couple more of the youngsters

That's not great, but it's not quite as bad as everyone is saying
