Who would you chose to replace Jurgen Klopp as Liverpool manager

Got up this morning realizing that yesterday was Wednesday and I had missed the Liverpool/Leeds game 😡

Should have realized when @momoWASboss made his comment "During the game too" but just didn't.
Had to watch the Highlights...What a game to miss 🙄
You seriously missed the game and the match thread? Oooops

Back to the point of this tread...David Wagner ex -Huddersfield manager and a lifelong friend of Jurgen Klopp.
He did OK with Huddersfield although the failing were down to the lack of quality player wise with Huddersfield.

He would also benefit from any advice on Liverpool his friend Klopp could offer and although he would like to put his own mark on LFC, and bring in his own signings; I can't see him drastically change things from the way Klopp has the team playing

We need to do everything we can to get some seriously compromising shit on him so he can't leave. I refuse to contemplate a future without him.

No

It’s times like these I wonder if you are a master of satire or galactically stupid.

Potter’s a great manager but I would prefer continuity, and therefore would be happy to see us try Lijnders. Beyond that, Potter or Gerard (if he proves himself at Villa).

Then reason I choose David Wagner was he seems to have a similar style of football as Klopp when Huddersfield manager, and I don't believe that he will come into the club looking to make massive squad changes and could tap klopp up for advices

I'm guessing he will throw hs hat into the ring.

A lot can happen between now and 2024. If I was drawing a list, I would want a manager who knows how to get the most out of a team with a limited budget and whose style of management is about protecting players and not throwing them under the bus
Ten Hag
Pep Lijinders
Gerrard
Potter
Julen Lopetegui
Mancini

Then who would you chose?

It’s a pointlessly stupid question, so I already gave you my pointlessly stupid answer - Ted Lasso.

The reason it’s a pointlessly stupid question is because it’s so far off in the future as it’s practically impossible to tell which managers may be in a position to be even considered. For example, if Gerrard has a shit season next year, would he be considered?

The only serious answer to the question, then, as it stands right now is… Jurgen Klopp on a new extended contract.

Suggesting David Wagner, if you’re in any way being serious, on the basis of he’s Klopp’s mate and once set up Huddersfield in the same way Klopp sets up a team, makes Baldrick and his “cunning plans” look like works of genius in comparison.

Fair play for giving it a detailed response. I just stopped at no.

I think Klopp will sign another extension to his contract

I actually think this is true, mainly because you can see he is totally in love with both the city and the club, and his team. I mean he has built something big here, and has taken the fight to a team that is near perfect in its execution and consistency like no other we have ever seen in this league.

That said - I must share something with you all - if by some miracle we win everything this season - highly unlikely , I would not give two fucks when he leaves or even if we get relegated next season under him. It would be over for me in terms of club football - "He Came, He Built up again, He won everything, He Left" - I would not give a shit anymore about supporting or following the club - I would have seen it all and nothing after would have any meaning. I could never support another manager fairly and therefore any future squad by extension because nothing could compare.

So It is a pointless question yes..?
And treads like "The Race for 4th" which The Noman had no problem replying to
Or "Salah or Mbappe ?" a tread that is equally pointless yet you had no problem replying to It

By your reasoning a hell of a lot of treads here are pointless. Me I just though it would be nice to see who people would consider or like to see get the job when Klopp leaves

What the real issue is here is that you just do not like that it is I post and that I wrote it...
Now you will come back with something like "No' it is just a stupid post".. Well a gave my reasons, and one of them was that I felt David Wagner would not make whole sale changes to the team, and would be, imo likely to approach Klopp for advice as to how he would get the best out of these group of plays.

Now if you do not agree with it, that's fine. And if you think what I post is stupid, here a novel idea....don't read it

I should have followed your lead @The Nomad.

Here’s another idea for you Doner-van… it’s a bit out there though… maybe try not posting about every utterly stupid thought that enters your head.

I’m actually being nice to you here - because you’re getting to a point where pretty much everyone is going to either ignore anything you post or savage the fuck out of it - the best you can hope for is that no-one takes anything you post seriously l.

Its’s already been pointed out that you’re lucky that some of our more acerbic posters are no longer around.

To be honest - you go ahead and keep making an utter tit out of yourself - I’m not fussed… but don’t think it’s going to stop getting pointed out or ridiculed.

It could all be avoided if you just used your brain every now and then, because I’m sure you have something actually sensible to contribute.
