Who will you support once we’re sold to the Saudis?

I've been falling out of love for the game for years. Even when we won the league i was happy, but not as overjoyed as I would have been previously.

I won't support anyone else. I'll just become neutral and take a passing interest. NFL is where the cool kids are going

Yeah, but our league win had half the joy drawn out of it by the pandemic. It was a shit state of affairs all round.
a little, but we had the league wrapped up prior to the lockdown (bar a cataclysmic collapse). I just didn't enjoy it as much. I wasn't as heartbroken last year as I as in previous years where we've challenged.

I dunno; the CL i still enjoy, because cup competitions are a mostly about grit and determination, rather than a league where it's 90% teams who can't be arsed to try

This could be the year I lose all interest in football, what with the Qatar world cup abomination and getting bought out by a bunch of beheaders.

Klopps statements saying we can’t compete with them in the market etc, will he walk away from us or take it on the chin and spend the Saudis money.

Not football in itself, I still love the game.

Professional football has been shit for ages.

I'll still be supporting Liverpool regardless of ownership, but my interest in the game is declining. The Super League has always been a cause for me to completely unplug from it. I just think at that point you could remove the club out of the city and it wouldn't really matter.

I've accepted the 'games gone' years ago and everything we're seeing is just a natural progression of the ridiculous growth of the PL. All that said, there's a clear personal performance for us not to be sold to the Middle East, so I'll be hoping for some American capitalists who are richer than FSG and hoping for the best.

I will continue to support Liverpool regardless. The days of top football clubs being owned by people who are supporters themselves and care about the club are long gone. I don’t like that, but my dislike of it isn’t really enough to make me interested enough in a lower division or non league club.

To be honest, I guess the one thing that bothers me is that we aren’t at the mercy of a massive financial rule change or a war or something.

It's emotional investment, not location.
I'm not emotionally invested in the local team. Though I did get that unique sporting surge of adrenaline and dopamine highs watching my son play the other day.
He's not got the natural talent I had and I've been trying to coach him, but he watches these shitty youtube freestylers and ends up trying to do spinny backheely stuff all the time.. but I made him watch Xabi, Pirlo and Thiago... he pulled out a beautiful through ball for the guy to go on and score.

There’s only one way to save football and our interest in it.

It’s where the best are pitted against the best (except @Jürgen4PM).

Join us - the world will seem a better place - where even mere mortals like @doctor_mac can win, titans like @LeTallecWiz refuses to be beaten, the ghost of @Bradley’s Ass Man haunts us all, YerMa’s gagging for it and @the count cheats us all.

Xpert XI.

This is the way.

Join us or die.

It is your destiny…

Reading FC would be my local team,
will see what happens first ..things hardly ever turn out like we think ..

Same here, I do try and go when I can since a few mates do.
Still going to be LFC fan regardless, need the distraction away from moaning about recession, climate change and twats who run this country. Footy is still a big part of my escape.

Definitely, same here. It’s a great distraction and escapes from the other crap, mostly…
same as you, will always be LIverpool fan..it’s in me blood 🙂

I have a close family member who has made a number of life choices I'd have preferred to be other than they have been, but I love her to the moon and back and there's not a single thing on this planet which will or could ever change that. That's how I feel about this club. Liverpool till I die, and that's the literal truth.

I'd genuinely have to stop supporting us if Mukesh Ambani buys us purely for how cringe we'd become. Nita Ambani would have Shah Rukh Khan performing at HT at Anfield.

Summer tours in India followed by a special episode of "Koffee with Karan and Klopp" and "Comedy Nights with Kapil Sharma and Klopp". We will see the first instance of a manager resigning on live television.

SRK singing a Hindi version of You will Never Walk Alone, "Tum Kabhi Akele Nahin Chaloge" (Arijit Singh) to Deepika Padukone in his next movie when times are tough.

Nita Ambani strongly condemns LFC fans for throwing beer bottles at Man City Bus. Encourages LFC fans to throw new Reliance Industry acquisition "Campa Cola" bottles instead. Campa Cola bottles are made available along the City bus route for fans to easily pick up and throw.

I'm not a football fan, I'm a Liverpool FC fan, and any nation state owning us will greatly dimish that unfortunately.
