I'd think that's it for incomings, except for maybe a youth player (hopefully Patrick Roberts!). Any legs to the Romero rumour as backup goalkeeper?
I think we have many players we're open to offers for (and worse case should loan them out). Personally I'd like to see Kolo, Agger, Johnson, Lucas, Borini and Assaidi off the books by the end of the window.
 
Isn't there some problem with Assaidi? Heard it was something to do with personal terms. I would love to see us move Borini on and go for another attacking layer. I do think we will need four strikers given the workload this season with CL.

I'd bin off Johnson if I could. That game Sunday was the latest in a long line of last straws. Flanno and Manquillo for RB. Moreno and Enrique for LB. Might as well lose one of Toure or Agger too and at least one of Borini or Assaidi if not both. Loan for Coates.

Bring in Ballotelli. I'd be ok with just that. We have Sterling, Sturridge, Markovic and Coutinho as well. Plenty of attacking options.
 
It's been a pretty epic window. We've near enough signed enough players for a new team. Just missing another midfielder and goalkeeper.

Hopefully it all comes together.

As for remaining business, I'd quite like to see the back of Lucas. Johnson too, if only to avoid the inevitable moaning on here for the entire season.

It would be okay I guess, cause actually we should be getting around £15 million for both of them.
I have a niggling feeling that they'll be going out on loan again.

I'm hoping 'less' means the clubs will use that for 'wages' (i.e. Borini's fee of 14 million can drop to 10-12 to increase his wages)

Agree with that, we also have Lallana to come back from injuiry who I think can be brilliant for us.
 
Balotelli is good enough to make Rodgers want to revert to two strikers. In that case he'd do well to keep hold of Borini for the cup games.

I think we should look at some signings in recent years and realise that it does take some longer than others to adjust. Look at Allen, Henderson, Sakho, for example, look at how Assaidi and Borini performed eventually. Some will make it, some won't, some will hit the ground running, some won't.

I think the crucial thing is we have a side that's pretty balanced and more or less picks itself. If we can ease a couple of players into that, like Moreno, Can and Lallana, then despite the massive overhaul, we should be able to afford ourselves the time to adjust. We just don't need posters sitting here in a few weeks calling certain players failures already. We've got the basis of an excellent, exciting young squad. Allow it the time it needs to flourish.

Good idea to leave us with just the 3 CBs then. Ilori will go on loan, Agger looks like he's going too, so we need to keep one of Coates / Toure. From Toure's recent comments that means Coates will leave. probably on loan, too.
 
We still need another attacking presence if we have any serious intentions of claiming the title and competing in the CL. A CB dominating in the air wouldn't go astray either.

Goalkeepers could be upgraded.
Not that keen on Agger/Lucas/Enrique either, but it seems a decent squad.

Pretty much everyone not in that picture can go, sold or loan.
 
Borini, Lucas, Assaidi, Agger out.

We've spent about 38 mill net incl Balotelli if that goes through.

That leaves us with some decent money to get a top notch defensive midfielder and a back up goalkeeper.
