by our standards we didn't play that well with a few players a little off form but at this stage of the season performances don't really matter , it is all about results and that was a great one in what was always going to be a tough game .
Best thing about next week isn't that it's at Anfield.
It's that pellegrini is their manager.
He won't watch today's match & think that they could beat us doing it with better counter attacking players, he'll still try to outplay us, & open up time & again.
We need Sturridge & Suarez to find their shooting boots, or get a slice of luck, unlike today, though.

I'm not sure how much more of this I can take. I could feel my heart beating all the way through that second half.
I'm very confident. Apart from the fact that we can take anybody on our day, David Pleat has just forecast that Citeh won't lose.

We won the midfield in the 2nd half and Lucas was probably the best player of that half together with Sterling.
I knew we'd win in the end, it is a bit worrying that two pens won us the game. Guess, fans who hate us are raging today.
Anyway I'm not gonna be too harsh on Suarez, Sterling and Sturridge. They did what they could but West Ham defended with 8 men all the time, barely gave them any space.

Every time they had a set piece in the 2nd half I ran away and locked myself in the toilet for a few minutes, before creeping back to check we hadn't conceded. Seemed to do the trick rightly.
Haha, I kinda did the same towards the end. I was convinced they were going to score from that one Flannagan conceded in the last few mins .
Same as at old Trafford.
The teams that defend doggedly so deep will concede pens cos they allow us to get the ball & ran at them with pace, so they'll concede handballs & fouls all day long.
Nothing to worry about, it's a good thing, we did it all through the 80s & Utd for the last 20 years too.

yeah everyone is making a big deal about the amount of pens we are getting but i don't know why .Most of them are pens and there are others we are not getting when we prob should .
