Not me. I don't believe for a minute that the rest of us were missing some undiscovered gem in Lucas. He was never as utterly hopeless as some made out, but neither was he anything like as pivotal to our play as that lot insisted. He's grown into his role over time. It happens.

Not me. I don't believe for a minute that the rest of us were missing some undiscovered gem in Lucas. He was never as utterly hopeless as some made out, but neither was he anything like as pivotal to our play as that lot insisted. He's grown into his role over time. It happens.

Mixture of things really.
He's got a fantastic attitude, he never stops, he's gone from squad player to integral part of the side, he's still woefully underrated, he never moans, complaians, bitches, demands contracts/moves/new players, and because he plays the game simply and well. His touch is good, he plays great weight of pass, and I think he'll get better.
Mostly though cos I backed him when all others fucking hated him, and there's an affinity there. I love seeing him do well.
