Great result.
Now just have to hope either for Arsenal to drop points or for Everton to have a calamitously poor outing

repost from LC thread.

Watched the match. Surprised to see West Ham with 10 behind the ball for almost the whole game (and both sides had two great chances each to score but fucked it up - Yarmolenko's free header miss from 5 yds out the worst offender) but Hazard and Willian aside Chelsea offered very little. I will be very surprised, based on the 4-5 games I've seen of them this season, if we can't get points there next week.

Just an observation but commentators on 5live keep going on about how many empty seats at Arsenal...they also had same issues in Europa league game.
The same was said 're Spurs
And also how quiet the crowd at old Trafford were a few games ago.

Early season man city were advertising on talk sport suggesting they needed to seek a few more tickets.

This is literally the most excited I've been about the fortunes of lfc and simultaneously excited about the downturn in fortune for the other clubs.

It's a bit weird where we have stupidly talented younger players like Trent, robbo and gomez walk into the first team boss the opposition
Have a 40mil whatever player in fabinho sat on the bench and not even really notice cos gini wini and old man Milner smashing it.

Hopefully they don't blame it all on online streaming.

The clubs make enough money now from TV deals to reduce ticket prices.

I’m always surprised that lowering ticket prices to pack a stadium isn’t considered an investment that can improve performance of a team. First priority should be full stadium, always.

I heard someone on a podcast the other day say that ticket sales only make up about 5% of overall revenue.

It really pisses me off that they're willing to piss off & alienate their fans over such a relatively small amount.

Fantastic to see Chelsea drop points and look relatively meek after 5 wins on the spin.

It’s vital that while we continue winning we open up a gap at the top.

To be fair, their last two performances weren't great either, if we can beat them well on Saturday, I reckon they might start to wobble a little.

Hopefully although they have a very strong squad a cracking manager so I wouldn’t be surprised to see them stay in the mix all season

ABU used to mean "Anyone but United", but I think DB has re-claimed it to mean "Anyone but Us"
