Right, I'm watching MOTD and West Ham's first goal has gone in.
Carroll got his head to a lofted, hopeful, whatever...goes to some West Ham player, who passes to Nolan, who scores.

Exactly what i thought, I read the commentry during the day and thought Carroll had pretty much scored the goal, he did alright nothing particularly special. Kind of ironic he is now injured!

I have nothing against Andy Carroll, per se, but there's definitely a media groundswell to make him into the next Shearer/Ingurland Ledge, based off of that header in the Euros.

I doubt we'd get anything near that even if he scored 20, clubs know we don't want him, we'll get 15m and we'll be glad. Even when people are offering us a near guaranteed 17M + I.e. WH we say no!!

Rodgers clearly didn't believe in Carroll, but after his performances last season, it's not hard to see why. Dalglish added:

He made a big contribution to winning the Carling Cup, and scored the winner against Everton in the FA Cup semi-final.
"If I'd brought him on earlier in the final against Chelsea, he might have won that for us as well. As it was, he scored a goal and tormented their defence - and then destroyed Terry and Ivanovic at Anfield a few days later. The longer Andy stayed at Liverpool, the greater the improvement there was in him".
"Football is all about opinions and most of the time, people have different opinions. So just because Andy was not wanted at one club does not mean that applies elsewhere".

To be honest I'm really not that bothered with what Kenny has to say. I think he should be quiet about the club for the time being. There's a risk that other journo's might twist his comments and make him look bitter.

His left foot never stopped making contact with the ground though. I've watched that about 15 times and the two players make almost identical tackles, if anything the other players leading foot is slightly higher.
Check Modo's link, at 7 seconds in. Has to be a mistake, unless he wants to red card them both.

I think your a nutter themn - but on this point I am in total agreement. I just hope the whole world hears how great Andy Carroll is so we can get that 20M for him - but I doubt it only because I think managers like Sam are a dying breed and that Andy Carroll is the type of striker fast becoming extinct from the modern game.
