We are not going to win the league

There is an outside chance we could win the league this year. Realism, and experience, suggests we won't. Those saying we will win for sure are just after the popularity vote - or are expecting the title about the same time as the Easter Bunny pays them a visit.
I got my hopes up 2 years ago - and it took me some time to get over the disappointment. Next time I get my hopes up will be when we are 15 points clear with 1 game remaining.

**Goes off to refill bucket with cold water.

If we were 15 points clear with one game left we would have won the title weeks before.

Let's not kid ourselves here, Chelsea have hit their stride and are looking unbeatable at the moment. With them not playing in Europe as well they've got the same advantage we have. It's the team to beat at the moment.

Man C are also looking dangerous, as expected, and with Yaya back in the fold and scoring it's even worse. Playing in Europe might disturb them a bit, though.

Arsenal are going to implode as usual.

We just need to keep getting 3 points. I really don't think Man C and especially Chelsea will give us that much leeway.
Think the results in between Dec 31 and Jan 31 might be the decider. City home, Man U away and Chelsea home.

Chelsea look very tidy .

Luiz doesn't look like a spaz anymore which is a big plus for them and costa is the inform striker of the league.

I wouldn't discredit spurs , they're still unbeaten and if they go out of the Cl tonight they will be im a similar position to Chelsea and ourselves , with a fit and firing Kane back for them.

Won't Spurs go into the Europa League if they do drop out of the CL?

Even if not, like you I wouldn't write them off totally. I don't think they look as dangerous as the Chavs or Citeh though.

Really @redhorizon2 this is very disappointing - how can anyone give up over a game that we drew ? - in the last decade we would have lost the game on Saturday, and the game against United because they were after internationals. We are simply fucking amazing to watch - it is just like that Southampton player described us. This is not the season where anyone of us should feel sad because:-

1) We really have a manager that sees what is happening like we the fans do - the changes have been immediate.
2) Do you really feel stressed out watching the team know ? - for the first time in probably 25 years I don't !!! - it is fucking great knowing we are going to piss all over the opposition for most of the game.
3) The defense issue has been addressed - what mistakes were made this season (apart from first game - which WE WON !!!) - were mainly individual ones which will make those individuals more thinking in all games so they don't fuck up again.

Finally - win the league or not win the league you can never say after this season is over that you did not enjoy the way we played this season. The games cannot come fast enough for me these days. So please stop all this negative talk.

Fuck Chelsea

Fuck Spurs

Fuck Arsenal

Fuck Man City

Fuck Man Utd

We're winning the league.

Spurs will go into the EL if they avoid defeat at home to CSKA, that would be perfect. However even then they look a class below Chelsea, City and us, they have been extremely lucky to get away with a few matches they should have lost or drawn and I really can't see that holding up over a season. It could be said they are only 3 points behind at the moment (though awful GD too) but that converts to 9 points off the pace if we assume the rest of the season will follow the same course (it won't of course and I expect them to finish 12-15 pts off the pace).

I think we'll make top 4 but I don't think we'll win it. By setting my bar at this level i don't get worked up on every loss and draw. It keeps me healthy and sane

After losing the league when our boy slipped, losing the league cup final, losing the Europa League final ( was that our third finals loss in a row? ) I kind of expect us to continue being the factory of sadness.

I preferred it when you got all excited posting the latest transfer links from the Crawley Advertiser

Yeah - but we getting to those finals and we hope to challenge year on year now with the coach we have. We should always have hope Modo - and we are a big club whose supporters should expect nothing but the best from their team, and to win leagues ,and cups. Does not matter that we have had those losses or that we have not won the league for 27 years. We must always challenge, only one of those 27 seasons have I ever thought that we may not win jack shit - that was the Uncle Roy season, but all other seasons I expected given the magnitude and history of this club.
