Meireles was good in flashes for us but rarely even lasted 90 minutes without bein hauled off which says alot.
I liked him but selling him for 12 mil at 29 made sense and I don't give a shit what he does from now on.

I reckon we'd be at least a couple of places higher in the table if he'd stayed, so yea, selling him was a good decision if you'd rather have 12m than be in the CL next season.

I reckon Chelsea would be 8 points ahead of us if they got Modric instead of Ming so it works both ways.

Henderson bottled out of a tackle on Friday and I immediately thought of Ming and Aquaman. Although to be fair to Aqua, his leg was in severe danger of falling off if he made a tackle.

Meireles was decent , i didn't want to sell him, especially not to a rival ....but he's not an amazing player or particularly strong at one thing .And i've never worked out how he came to england as a defensive mid but then has never really played in that position.

But if it was Henderson V Meireles it would obviously be meireles ...anyone who thinks henderson has done more this season then meireles did last is just nuts. Time will tell if henderson will step up to be as good as people believe but right now he's not added as much as meireles did
