This just in from a Chelsea fan: Meireles is a cancer. He needs to **** off out of the squad and die. He literally tried four shots from 40 yards. I know Lampard had a mare for the third goal but he was our most creative player when he came on apart from maybe Mata, played some stunning passes forward.

So they gave us £62m and failed horribly. Torres and Ming are very probably both kicking themselves despite larger bank balances.

It's very rare that anyone leaves this place and does any better than they would have here. Keegan won European Footballer of the year. McManaman won a CL. Other than that it's debatable if any of the other thousands of players that have moved on have achieved anything at all. Well I suppose Michael Robinson got his own TV show in Spain. And yeah, Owen does have a league title medal, but not even the most deranged fuckball manc could argue he earned it.

It all makes me feel a little bit better about the zillions we've recently blown on average players.

That's the complaint my Atleti mate always said about him - lazy player. Tbh though, if he's scoring - they shouldn't complain. If the goals dry up, then it won't be pretty.
