First of all, apologies for the thread title.
I'm off to Vegas next week. A group of us going to celebrate various birthdays. Ten of us going in total (six from Ireland, one currently living in Oz and three living in Vancouver). Obviously, excited as fuck. I've been before and loved it. We are big into our gambling and have no problem sitting on a $5 table for a good few hours each day getting drunk as hell on free/cheap drinks. We are staying in Ballys btw.
I've read the previous threads on Vegas but didn't bump an old one. Hopefully I'll get some fresh info here.
We are doing the helicopter tour of the GC. We aren't doing the drop off as it's a lot more expensive. It's a few hundred dollars cheaper for the tour and fly by so that will do us id say.
Undecided on the stratosphere sky dive. Honestly don't know if I'll have the heart for it, plus we'll be half drunk for our entire duration. I think I'll just avoid it.
We are planning on going to a pool party in the MGM. Tiesto is playing at 11am Saturday morning. Wouldn't be my usual musical cup of tea but I'm sure it'll be great sport topping up on the night before by the pool. We found a site to get tickets and seems legit. @Ryan, you mentioned this pool party in a previous thread. Did you pre book tickets or wait til ye got there?
Liverpool are playing Sat morning at 9;30am. @C/O, can you recommend me a bar to watch it in? Ideally somewhere close to the MGM as we'll be going to the pool party straight after the game. I will PM you about a few others thing too man.
Anyone got anything else to recommend? I've been to a Cirq show before (Beatles) and loved it so I'd doubt that'll be on the cards again. I'm sure we'll catch the Bellagio fountain show on passing and we'll hop from casino to casino throughout our stay. Cannot wait to wander around the strip in a continued half drunk state taking it all in.
Conor Mcgregor is fighting five days after we leave which is unfortunate. I'm not a big UFC fan by any means but there would have been a great buzz about the place.
Going to hit the outlet malls before we leave as well? What's the handiest one? I've read we can get a shuttle to a decent one about 15 mins from strip. We didn't go to 'old' vegas last time. Worth checking out?
