Are we going backing?

WHITEY!!!!
Howard, unfortunately, may have been found one of the seasons hottest maiden races, so may have to wait another day. However, he is entitled to progress too and should run another decent race, but winning may be a bridge too far.

Imaam should prove very hard to beat. He is well regarded, beautifully bred, ran a brilliant race on debut and, the winner of that race has since finished second in a Group 2, so the vibes look good for him. The one problem? His price which is likely to be too short.

Ive been told to expect good things from a horse called Aflaam today but i haven't had chance to look at that yet. All the talk was he was doing some very nice work last year and indeed appeared in a few ante-post lists for classic honours but a ligament injury curtailed his training programme. Hes suppose to be working well again in his homework so we'll see on this one.
Where is it running Whitey?
The 8.20pm race i think. Can't remember where it is. My phones going mental today and i might have another couple of horses to look at in a bit.
Thanks Whitey,

Keep them coming.

Well Imaam finished 2nd again. Maybe it'll make it 3rd time lucky on its next run. It got beat by a 25/1 winner which had drifted from 20/1. Fucking 2yo's eh. It wasn't helped by the fact Hills is so weak in a finish. Very annoying.

Didn't get to back it anyway so dodged a bullit. Any news of Aflaam?

Fuck it i need to have a little rant after that twat lost me some money.

That race was Hills' fault pure and simple. He is weak as a kitten in a finish and he was going for the cosmetically pleasing ride rather than giving the horse a proper ride and thus he built zero momentum up and had nothing to repel the winners challenge.

That is Hills for you though - a dick by name and a dick by nature! Just hope he doesn't pull the same stunt of Aflaam 3rd 6/1 tonight!

*loads shotgun*

I had another fucking disaster tonight.
I didn't back anything. Phew. Haha.

Grim. Was all in on that one, was meant to come from horses mouth and got pulled up. Still, i'd have that lads bets every day (not in the size he does mind). I reckon that's my last tip on here, don't like people losing money if they do put on.

I was joking mate, I didn't back the one you mentioned.

I didn't see the tip before the race went off

No worries, figured you weren't exactly lining me up!

In general i just don't like the idea of people losing money on something i tip up but this one sounded like a very good bet! I'd be happy if someone was to take every bet that i did and at the end of the year you'd be up but when I only stick the odd one on here hate it when it loses.

Having said that, 11 of the 13 test dismissals yesterday were caught and the other two were played on. On a track like that, caught next method of wicket is long at 1/2! Wary when down to tailenders though.

Aflaam looked handy and was all over the winner approaching the final furlong and appeared to be coasting under my mate Richard Hills (twat), but danger loomed in the shape of fellow newcomers Duncan and Summerstrand and in a three way driving finish. The horse with Hills on board was never likely to win that argument and so it proved with Summerstrand taking the honours. The winning distance was a short head and a neck and Aflaam is one to look out for as he looks a smart prospect and now with this run under his belt, should be all the wiser.

I had a £20 treble yesterday mate. Imaam (2nd), Yellow Flag (won 1/2) and Montbretia (won 8/13).

Figured they were all bankers. That twat Hills has cost me £100 odd quid there himself.

Theres only 2 jockeys I trust in a finish. Johnny Murtagh and Jimmy Forture.

I used to like Durcan before he got beat on Phoenix Tower the other week and cost me 5 ton!

Keep your tips coming mate. Its not your fault if they lose and no doubt you'll win your fair share aswell. Your just passing on what you hear from people. They could have a shit jockey on board as was the case yesterday (not that im bitter or anything), poor tactics, conditions that don't suit, caught up in traffic etc, etc. So many different factors in a race so don't worry about it. Yeah anyway so don't be shy, keep passing on any info you hear.

I thought Hills should have won that one, he never really tried though.

Aflaam cruised up alongside the pack and into the lead without him doing a thing.

Im blaming him for missing out on a double yesterday. He had the best horse in both races as far as im concerned and didn't do his job at all well.

Ah well, got my money back off Durcan today. Had a tenner on Passage of time.

Only fancy one this evening.

FACTOTUM in the 8.10 Haydock.

Some crap racing yesterday but i was more than happy to land a big win off Quartermain. Price drifted right out to 20/1 despite dropping from Listed level to maiden company. I am not sure if he is up to Listed level and may be more of a nursery type and this certainly wasn't the best of maidens, so his mark should be a reasonable one.

Bobbie Soxer - Bred for 10f+, but has ran twice over 6f and both times has been staying on well and perhaps is one for nurseries over 7-8f this season and should win races.
This won tonight.

Itlaaq - He is out of a filly the trainer did well with and this colt is held in very high regard by his trainer. Scheduled to make his debut at Newmarket (July) recently, but apparently will want a little bit of cut. Said to be rated a serious Group horse material and one to follow this season over 7/8f. May need first outing like so many from the yard, but word is he is pretty much ready now to do himself justice.
This one is racing tonight at Sandown but is drawn wide here and is likely to tighten up for this and so is one to follow next time out.
Yes it won today.

15.50 Goodwood, Prime Defender e/w@approx 8/1. Betfair place is approx 3.0

I know its the fav at the mo, but in a field of 28, anything can happen. This has come to me via a tipping service in which 'The last 7 horse racing selections have produced 5 winners at odds of 16/1, 12/1, 8/1, 9/2 and 100/30'

So. That's jinxed it then.

Heres some more juveniles to note for those interested:

These have been catching the eye at home and could be worth following in the near future.

DELEGATOR
Has been one of the talking horses around Lambourn this summer and is held in the highest regard by his trainer who rates him a serious prospect. Has a nice pedigree too and is related to the smart duo of Holding Court and sprinter Tomba, but is bred to want 7-10f and should get the lower end of that range this year. Will be seen out soon at one of the top tracks in a 7f maiden and could be very nice indeed.

FOUR WINDS
This colt is the first Michael Bell has trained for The Queen and reports suggest the partnership could get off to a successful start with this son of Red Ranson who has been catching the eye in his recent work. His dam was a smart performer, though has yet to produce anything matching her calibre, but this colt should be able to change all that. Should be seen out soon over 7f and expect him to improve when he steps up to a mile.

HEADLINE ACT
Not the most precociously bred colt and also a late foal, so don't expect to see him out too often this season, but has been reported to be coming along nicely in recent weeks and is considered a smart prospect. He is likely to get 10f+ next season, but could well sneak a win this season over 7/8f.

LEAHURST
He is a half brother to the smart Dunelight who holds numerous big race entries already and reports coming out of the Jeremy Noseda seem to suggest he is pretty smart. He's been given plenty of time to come to himself, but has been sparkling of late at home and connections plan to the wraps of him very soon and he is one to watch out for. 6/7f will suit for now.

Itlaaq is running in the 6.35 at Sandown today, currently around 14/1.
Yep, Itlaaq should strip a lot fitter this time following a poor debut run. His debut effort here over course and distance a couple of weeks ago was terrible as he brought up the rear, but i'm anticipating a much more better effort today. He was said to have needed his first run and so it proved as he was never in contention at any stage. However, he broke slowly and the ground (good to firm) may well be against him as his dam went well with cut and he gets that tonight and though he needs to improve massively from his debut, I see no reason why he can't. Too Tall is clearly a leading contender from the Cumani yard and made a satisfactory debut in a modest maiden at Newmarket (July) last month when chasing home an impressive winner and the step up in trip is likely to suit.

I expect Basque beauty to go well in the 4.05pm race today along with Cape Amber whos step back to 10f should suit.

Also in the 5.35pm Noverre To Hide should go well. To be honest im astounded he isn't favourite as he was the subject of favourable reports all throughout July and the fact he made his debut in the Group 2 Molecomb Stakes suggested how highly John Best rated him. However, he found the contours of Goodwood too much to handle on his first start, but that isn't uncommon and he was also racing against previous winners and more experienced rivals. Should be much sharper for the experience and could well find this track bringing out the best in him and his half brother Hunt The Bottle was a winner on slow ground, so conditions shouldn't be too much of a problem either. Victoria Sponge has something to prove after a disappointing effort last time following an encouraging debut while the speedily bred Sharp Bullet from the Walter Swinburn yard catches the eye, but the yards juveniles have all tended to need their initial outing.
