United to win the treble & Ferguson to retire...

The only way he'll be lying down in the back is if someone's had the good sense to stick a stake through hihs black heart.

I reckon Fergie wants to at least equal 5 European Cups and will stay on. Who's going to sack him?

Succession planning at OT must be a nightmare, not only have they got to get someone who wants to follow him (whenever that mat be) but they've also got to get a serious wedge to invest for all the players they've got nearing retirement.

They've been here before and it took them 25 years to recover.

Yes, and we've been saying stuff like this for the past decade.

Alex will go on to live to the ripe old age of 90 and still be the manager at Man U.

Rafa to City is a good shout! ITs only a matter of time before Mancini goes because lets face it, he is pretty poor! Rafa waiting in the wings...wants to stay in England and says his family is settled where they are! I wouldnt be surprised of a deal is already done!

Theres no way united have a treble in them this season!! And I cant see fergie being fit and able to challenge king kennys revolution!!

It must be getting on for 10 years since he last threatened to retire isn't it?

I don't want them to win anything of course but I have become immune to it.

I would quite like to see Ferguson stay on for a while as eventually he will start losing it and going a bit mental. That would be nice to see.

Don't think it's conceivable for any Red to find a manc treble palatable under any circumstance. What's more I don't think they've got a hope in hell of doing it.

I do think they'll win the FA cup but their run home in the league is too tough for any team to manage given how close Wenger is sitting. I think Arsenal's long(ish) wait is over for a trophy - and it may just be enough for Wenger to decide he's done enough anyway despite missing out on the CL.

As for Europe, Bayern, Barca and Chelsea are the teams to beat and I don't think Ferguson has the personnel to handle any of them in Europe - I think he knows it too. Unfortunately I think the Chavs will get their first European trophy and Torres will pretend to love it........... but that's still better than the scum getting their 4th.

On a side note, a part of me actually wants to see Ferguson stay on; I think he'll be driven even more now that Kenny is here and that will see the rivalry become even more special. Kenny can handle himself in public well enough to cope with Ferguson and he's got the economic muscle behind him to take victory on the pitch. I'm looking forward to seeing it happen over the next few seasons.

Rafa to Citeh is possible but I think Mourinho's a better bet. Vain though he is, I cannot see even him being daft enough to take over from Ginsoak and try to lift the most poisoned chalice in football. I also reckon Citeh's owners will want someone with Mourinho's record in the Prem as opposed to Rafa's.
