United to win the treble & Ferguson to retire...

My nan once told me if I had nothing nice to say then I shouldn't say anything, but could you please keep these anti-wanks to yourself?

Hmmmm, anti-wanks? I don't see the fuss Krump.
They're in the semi final of the FA, have every other team in the league fucking up week after week and have to beat Marseille to make the QF's in Europe. Surely its possible?

How about United to win fuck all and Fergie to choke on his chewy ?
[/quote]

Now you're fucking talking mate.

What Krump said...

.. but as long as it's here, I'd prefer United not to win the treble regardless of what else is on offer.

fuck no , i cling to the hope that they fuck it up this year and then we , under Dalglish , beat them to 19 .....can you imagine how much that would eat Fergie up. You can tell that even after all these years he still hates us more than anyone , just to win it once with him still in charge there would be amazing .

Can they do the treble this year , it hadn't even entered my mind because there is such a long way to go .Right now I'd have to say no . If they do though it will be a disgrace , this is one of the worst United teams in years yet frustratingly they are still right up there .

Not one of my finer threads then!

In the interests of discussion...

I think the club is in a pretty bad state. The playing staff is as bad as I can remember it yet they just keep grinding it out. Why? Ferguson IMO. His sheer will to win is what is driving that group of players forward. I think that if/when he goes the club will take a massive hit and cease to be as competitive.

Hahaha. I know what you mean Stu but my preference is for them to win fuck all again. And yes, Fergie has a lot to do with their success but he can't go on forever. Well, not without some form of fountain of youth elixir anyway

He has indeed been absolutely central to their success and it'll be a massively important crossroads for them, plus they have form (when Busby went) for losing it big style in such circumstances, but I have a feeling that that very momentum which the old goat's built up will prevent them from falling too far behind this time.

In any case I couldn't just accept them winning the treble, even if it got rid of Ginsoak. Under the King I can see us back on their level in two years anyway (less if we're lucky) whether the old scrote is still there or not, so I'm prepared to risk it and answer "no" to the question.

I can't believe any red would answer yes to this question. I want Ferguson to bow out an embittered, half-broken failure - and that means us getting back on our perch before he croaks. Sure, he'll still be the most successful manager of all time, but he won't have done what he set out to do all those years ago. And if it was Kenny who broke his dream, that would be even sweeter.

IMO the question would pose more of a dilemma for United supporters.

This multipled by infinite.

Cheers for starting this thread Stu, I was actually thinking of starting something along the same lines.

I reckon United will win the league, Wenger will quit and then Fergie will also quit, in that order, if Wenger knew Fergie was done he would stay on.

United need to be rebuilt, it's been on the cards and we say it ever season, but surely they need to replace Rio, Scholes, Giggs, Carrick and VDS this summer or at latest next. With all the media antics from Fergie I reckon he's had enough and will settle for taking 19.

With any luck they'll somehow miss out on the league and Fegie will stay on and they will do a Liverpool.

I'd also say Chelsea could be in the market for a manager.

Next season could be the perfect moment for us to get back on the (champions) horse. Spurs and City might also fancy a run at the title.

Man City badly need a Mourinho.

There are too many disparate characters in that squad to become Champions and Mancini hasn't been able to unite them.

He'll be looking for a new job come the summer so you never know. He's done in Italy and Spain so he'll be back in England and if my crazy jibber jabber is to be believed he'll have his choice of Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd.

I have never wanted united to win anything. I certainly wouldn't want fergie to have a smug retirement ..... no.

1. Arsenal to stop being gay, finally show show balls and win the league
2. Kenny to sweep us to #19 next season
3. Me to watch Fergies face when he realises he needs to beat Kenny TWICE to overtake us and he is already 71.

It's irrelevant whatever the Mancs win because there's only one way Ginsoak is leaving Old Trafford and that's in a hearse.

Why would he become a driver at the end of the season? Surely there are better jobs he could do?
