Under the Radar (potential Summer transfers)

He spoke in an interview on why he failed at Newcastle, at the time he was physically weak and just naive as to what he was getting himself into. Anyways it turns out the Marseilles President has started talking of fees of £150m not being enough, and there's me thinking a fee of around £30m was good fee.

Move on to the next guy: The guy looks very composed in defence.

There were some rumors that Southampton was targetting him with the Van Dijk money.

Is Maddison really better than Harry Wilson? Thats a question I hoped would br answered with both playing in the championship. Any ideas how long wilson will be out for?

Sessengnon is the one who should be signed at all costs. Buy his brother too.

His value will have increased exponentially from what it was in the summer when some of his potential was still 'speculation' - now it is definitely there. Interesting to see if Fulham get through the play-offs - i don't think they'd sell if they got promotion, but expect they would have their hand forced if they don't.

I'm not so sure they wouldn't sell even if they get promoted. They'll need to strengthen that squad big time and may have to cash in on Sessegnon in order to do so.

Lazio defender Stefan de Vrij looks likely to leave in June with his contract renewal having been withdrawn, according to the the Italian club's sporting director.
Sky in Italy reported last summer that Liverpool were interested in signing the 26-year-old Dutchman.
His current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and negotiations for an extension have dragged on.

I think we cooled our interest

Have to say De Vrij would make a lot of sense for us now. Out of contract in the summer, the persistent injury problems seem to have subsided somewhat ("only" missed 5 games this season), he is Van Dijk's international teammate and fits Klopp's game perfectly in terms of playing style. His long-range passing is arguably even better than Van Dijk's. Even if we can't trust his fitness completely, we should have enough quality back-up, but on a free it would be a no-brainer.

We'll face a lot of competition, of course.

Struggles in England but thrives in [bcolor=transparent]France? I've heard that one before?[/bcolor]

Did he play for Pardew or Rafa? Remember Masher and Tevez failed under Pardew. Pretty good clips and showing some physical strength.

He started the season well, but has tailed off a tad.

One season wonders tend to be the type we should avoid isn't it?

He definitely hasn't. Richarlson, the other Watford one to watch, has tailed off, but Dacoure has looked better and better as the season has gone on.

To be fair, other than watching a few games over the season, most of my knowledge of the player comes from my friend who has had him in his FF from early in the season. He has been his secret weapon.

He's still the heartbeat of that midfield

But that midfield is Watford, who are afforded a lot of space.

Over the 2 seasons, This season has been his breakout season. 50+ appearances for Watford. Numbers for Rennes weren't great.

If he was 22, then yeah maybe. 26 soon so can he kick on (I know it's not old)?

Reminds me of diame. Decent midfielder, made to look better by the shite around him

The thing is, Dacoure has often anchored the midfield, so his stats are really quite impressive in that regard, though I don't think he should strictly be assessed by 'numbers'. According to Transfer Markt.com the majority of his goals and assists have come from games where he has played DM (17 games, 4 goals and 3 assists; 10 games in CM have given him 3 goals and 1 assist). I like his height, something we'll need in midfield with the loss of Can, and his range of passing is excellent. Can see him and Keita complementing each other well.
