Could be worse Jack.
I am surprised it isn't an away tie.

Scum home to Rangers on the Tuesday

I fucked that flight up. Booked one landing at 4 thinking the game wasn't on til 8 but it's 6, and Utrecht is miles away. Doh.

I really am a fucking dick. It lands at 4 there but the kick off is 7 there and I've gone and booked more flights when 3 hours is fine.

*pulls a stupid mongo face*

If it's any comfort to you Crump, my friend once spent an hour looking for Florentina airport on plane websites.

Ahahahahaha. Fucking hell.

I went to see Fiorentina twice last year, it's boss there. I mean I didn't like it when they dicked us, but it's a great city, and Ryanair to Pisa is like twelve pence.

florence is one of my favourite places in the world. being a professional footballer and living there is an almost ridiculously nice prospect, no wonder batigol stayed there so long.

All our aways are 6pm. While this is good for bizz in the boozer, is it coz Citeh are the main draw at 8?

There is a mentally boss looking trip here for Napoli. You can go to Barca on the Weds (30 quid flight, easyjet) and see them play Copenhagen - which will have zillions of spare tickets, and then fly from Barca to Napoli on the Thurs (26 quid flight, iberia) to see us, and then get home some ways I haven't figured out yet - but fucking hell... That's a crazy plan that might just work.

This is a fucking swiss watch. You can get to Barca on the weds morning with your bird (times two coz you're with your mate and his bird) and you and your mate can fuck off to Napoli on the Thursday morning leaving your birds in Barca and then come back to meet them on the Friday afternoon after they've done the Gaudi etc, all go out partying and whatnot on the Friday night and there's a flight back into Liverpool on the Saturday at 11 - in time for Blackburn at home... The flights to barca are 60 quid return. The bcn - nap returns are 100 euros. The three bed apartment on the ramblas is 400 quid for everyone.

I was hoping we'd get FC Utrecht!

They signed 3 young Aussie talents in Zullo, Sarota, and Oar.

Unbelievable for them to go from playing in front of 8000 crowds in Australia to the cathedrals like San Paolo (Napoli) and Anfield in the space of 3 months.

Tommy Oar is the best of the 3 ... he's only 17 I think, and has been given the no.10 jersey straight away.

"The Next Harry Kewell"

Unlucky.

Let's hope he is, minus the injuries!!!

Wow, kit number 121. They've got some big squads down under eh.
[/quote]

That was when he was playing for Australia against Indonesia in an Asia Cup qualifier.

The Asian Confederation has some stupid laws about kit numbers during qualification for the Asia Cup.

Dario Vidosic has something stupid like 110.

That is some fucking trip. Very jealous.

But it's all so cheap. I don't understand how frickin cheap it all is. I just wish it was as cheap to get to Rome as Barca coz then you could get the train to Napoli.

This one is good... Return flight from Liverpool to Pisa Tuesday to Saturday is 40 quid. As soon as you get to Pisa you get a one hour bus to Florence, they leave all the time from the airport. All days Weds with the womens in Florence. Thursday there are trains every hour to Naples, take 3 hours - which would be boss with a load of chianti etc, watch the match, come back to Florence Friday afternoon or whatever with less airport stress, home Saturday morning.

Pisa is a nice little town too Crump if you just wanted to stay there for a while.

I've been there and while it was ok, I don't think there's anything grabbing me to go back. Not when Florence and Siena are just up the road.

Another one... Flights are a hundred quid but that's from Manc to Rome on the Weds, back to Liverpool on the Saturday, and that way the train to Napoli is only an hour, and you can get back to Rome after the match... and, you're in Rome and stuff.

I done the Rome to Naples train trip a couple of years ago and I think it is more than an hour, I would have thought that is between two and three. could be wrong though

And for sure Siena and Florence are nicer than Pisa although I wouldn't have thought that they would look that different from the inside of a local pub.

That bahn.de only shows the trains that take 1 hour 10 mins but I been on the Trenitalia site and there are loads of other trains that can take up to 3 hours.

The thing is, my mate reckons that the best away will be Napoli, but I'm not sure. I've heard the city is a dump and the natives are loco. Anyone else have any thoughts on it?

I only passed through Naples Crum, on the way to and from Ischia, which is an island in the Bay of Naples.
It did look like a bit of a dump and the traffic was absolutely mad, I had craziest taxi trip ever from the ferry port to the airport.
That said, I reckon if you knew where to go, it could be a cracking place and the locals were very friendly.

Bologne is a regular enough poster on here. He might be able to give you a decent heads up on the place.

Tommy Oar is a bit special. He will be great. I hope he can play at a high level for a longer period than Harry Kewell managed.

Harry Kewell was truly special at Leads and also his first year it Liverpool....then injuries happened..
