You're just not looking at the big horse in the mirror, Frogfish.

Hey Gene, try and and post more than a pointless sentence for once, go on give it a go, actually after seeing a rare 3 sentence effort from you on Gerrard it's probably best to keep it short and pointless, better to say nothing and let them think you're an idiot than to open your gob and confirm it, eh?

Really? you know i think he will get his 1 in 2 or better, i have said that all along, why do you need to ask that? gotta laugh that you say im the one who needs this clarified and to pay attention! that is funny.

By the way for you its not just a simple no, you said he will be way off and will have a big drop off with his usual performance levels and goals to games strike rate next season, that is an example of your wriggling, same with completely ignoring the Zlatan/PSG answer, you haven't even acknowledged it since i answered it even though you were very persistent in asking me that question, that theory means nothing anyway.

Zlatan : I said I can't think of any - with a big fat question mark. Give yourself a pat on the back you found the exception that proves the rule.

However here is my 'wriggling' and my call on RvP :
Actually I'm not correct, memory failing me, last year was very similar to the year before but that % was obtained over his fewest games per season in 5 years (28) due to injuries. IMHO both games played and goals per game will be down again this season.
Yep massive wriggling there, you got me 🙄

Also I did not say anywhere that he will be way down (go on, waste your time trying to find it - I'll accept your apology later) I said :
v.Persie is on the way down, he's 31 yrs old next month and his injury issues will likely crop up again soon - no way is he going to be anywhere near top goal scorer next season.
This in response to your :
van Persie would be my bet to be top goal scorer again next season,

So looks like you're just trying to be an arse. However we do now have your answer. Yes. Look forward to seeing how this pans out.

Sorry but, if you'd been around here for longer, you'd know what an ass you just made of yourself posting that.

Inter Milan's Argentina-born Italy winger Ezequiel Schelotto continues to be linked with Southampton, along with his team-mate, Algeria midfielder Saphir Taider. Now Schelotto's agent is quoted as saying that talks are ongoing over the 25-year-old's future. Bruno Carpeggiani told FCInter1908.it:

We are waiting for the negotiations to continue. Yesterday, I met with (agent) Claudio Vigorelli, who is mediating for the English club, and I can say the situation is active. It could end tomorrow or maybe nothing will be done, I can't say at this moment because we are also waiting for Inter.

Mario Balotelli could be on his way to Liverpool. According to SportMediaset in Italy, the AC Milan striker's agent could fly to England in the coming days to discuss a possible move to Liverpool.Milan are reportedly ready to listen to offers in the region of €20 million (£16m) for the former Manchester City forward, who has also been linked with Arsenal this summer.

PSV Eindhoven winger Memphis Depay has been linked with a move to the Premier League this summer, with Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur both reportedly interested. Depay has confirmed he would be keen to play in a big league, but he is also not ruling out staying with PSV.

One player who could be on his way out of Liverpool is Pepe Reina, with Sky Sports sources understanding that AC Milan are keen to sign the goalkeeper. Reina spent last season on loan in Serie A with Napoli and still has two years to run on his Liverpool contract, with his wages a possible stumbling block to any deal with Milan.

Reina might be leaving?!

Fucking hell. SSN really sticking their neck out predicting that.

You mistake me for someone that gives a fuck, Jules, plus Gene can stick up for himself, he doesn't even need to type more than a sentence for that so he'll be ok.

Who is he?
Old poster?

Sky Italia reporting that we're discussing a termination of Reinas contract by mutual consent.
Great...

We owe him about 10 mill in wages for the rest of his contract.

Terminating by mutual consent isn't paying him all his undue wages - we might as well keep him if we were going to do that even to serve pies on match day. We might have to give him some money to walk away but it won't be everything.

Probably happens from time to time when people go shit just after signing a big new contract as it's not worth anyone signing them and they're on a fat paycheck.

Brendan Rodgers has reiterated he is hopeful of adding to the six players Liverpool have acquired so far this summer before the close of the transfer window.

The Reds have landed Rickie Lambert, Emre Can, Adam Lallana, Lazar Markovic, Divock Origi and Dejan Lovren, and the manager has confirmed there may be further arrivals.

Speaking at a pre-Manchester United press conference at Miami's Sun Life Stadium, Rodgers was asked for a transfer target update by journalists.

He replied: "Nothing as of yet on any linked player. We've still got a few bits and pieces we'd like to do to solidify the group, but no names or definite signings as of yet."

Of Liverpool's six pieces of incoming business, three have arrived from Southampton in the form of Lambert, Lallana and, most recently, Lovren.

Rodgers feels the familiarity between the trio will help them each settle at their new club quickly and is confident they'll have little problem showing just why he was so eager to bring them to Anfield.

"I think the advantage of taking them is that they understand how we work," explained Rodgers. "All the players we have brought in were done so because of their profile.

"Southampton played in a really offensive, aggressive way and the players that have come in will adapt that little bit quicker to that.

"There are obviously pressures. If you're playing for Liverpool, there's a different adaptation altogether, but in terms of the football style, that will make it easier.

"I think if you have three players coming in from the same club, of course it always helps on that first day walking into the changing room. Ultimately they'll gain respect because they're good players, and that's why they're at Liverpool. Hopefully they can show that over their career here."

Meanwhile, Rodgers responded to rumours linking Liverpool with a move for Mario Balotelli.

The manager had been specifically asked for his thoughts on the AC Milan striker by reporters in a pre-match press conference ahead of the game with the Italian giants in Charlotte earlier this week.

Rodgers said: "I think it was in the last press conference, I was asked a question on Mario Balotelli and I spoke about what a talent he is and what an excellent player he is. I think the next day, it was written as though we were signing him, which doesn't surprise me.

"I can categorically tell you, Mario Balotelli won't be at Liverpool.

"He's a wonderful player - an AC Milan player. He's at a great club. I just gave my perception on him as a player, so I don't think it should be transmitted into us signing the player.
