Transfer rumours

I see that Barbosa lad is actually playing for Flamenco on loan from Inter, after loan moves to Benfica and Santos. Could he be another Coutinho, a player who Inter can’t integrate and hence worth a punt?
I think so, not Coutinho, but can be someone to bacup Firminio, very hard working, and I like to think he will have loads of skill. I mean Liverpool is the destination for the best that Brazil can offer. Still we need to know if he suffers from wannabe Barca / Real bollox.

Or that he is simply not good enough, as evident from a few of his rare displays so far.

Regular games in a Championship side for the rest of the season would give an indication of that.
Ideally in the PL, but I doubt that is likely.

I dont think we are going for Sancho. There are other decent players im sure with cheaper price. I say this through gritted teeth but Man Utd got a decent winger in Daniel James for a low price of 15m or so. He very raw player, but I could imagine under Klopp he would flourish, Kloop would mould him into a Mane biting at the ankles type of player to add to the speed that he obviously has. Also those Salzburg players look like better value too.

If the goal is to keep the top-3 intact, then Sancho makes no sense.
  1. You're not going to pay that kind of money to have a rotational player
  2. After being a starter at Dortmund, is he going to agree to come and sit until rotation/injuries?
  3. Even if he were to agree to #2, what is best for his development is to play consistently, so he'd be stagnating, or not progressing as rapidly, from more scarce minutes
He'd make a lot more sense in a couple of years, for example, when he'd only in his early 20s and Klopp may decide to start re-tooling the front 3 as they enter their 30s.

If he were to come in then out front three can continually rotate ... that means he plays 3 out of 4 games, more if players are injured, which is likely. No-one is going to object to that considering the amount of games we play.

I'd rather make a big play for Heung Min Son.

For me, he is just pure quality - he would slot in perfectly anywhere along the front 3, has everything in his game - left foot, right foot, speed, dribbling etc

It'll be impossible to get Spurs to sell him to us though.

In the UCL final he was the one Spurs player who showed any balls.

The rest of them went into hiding - I used to be a Eriksen fan until the final where he totally bitched out and played the safe option every single time despite Spurs dominating possession. Son on the other hand was the only player to stand up and try to make any difference when on the ball.

There's no way Spurs will sell Son.

27 years old
Contract till 2023
Everybody on the planet loves him

And did you see that game against West Ham!?!?

Our only hope is if Mourinho goes full Mourinho.

😛

So you want us to go for Son yet admit it would be impossible to get him. So what exactly was the point of your eulogy? 😛

Spurs wont sell son to us unless they have to sell to buy. It will be interesting to see what budget spurs give Jose, given the players out of contract.

If Keita doesn't prove himself this season, I think (hope) our big summer signing is going to be Hossem Aouar from Lyon. He is incredible, the next David Silva.

He's been touted for years. I'm amazed he's still at Lyon to be honest.

Really hope I'm wrong but I don't see Havertz coming to Liverpool. We don't attract those types of players. We couldn't even get fucking Dele Alli.

And we're ready to spend £100 million on someone who will be a backup and is now pissed off because he got subbed and is causing problems in the team?

Remember what happened to the guy who missed or was late to a few team meetings? Yeah, he's at Crystal Palace now.
