If the goal is to keep the top-3 intact, then Sancho makes no sense.
- You're not going to pay that kind of money to have a rotational player
- After being a starter at Dortmund, is he going to agree to come and sit until rotation/injuries?
- Even if he were to agree to #2, what is best for his development is to play consistently, so he'd be stagnating, or not progressing as rapidly, from more scarce minutes
He'd make a lot more sense in a couple of years, for example, when he'd only in his early 20s and Klopp may decide to start re-tooling the front 3 as they enter their 30s.
