I would too, but unfortunately we don't buy such old players.

What are you talking about?

Zaha is 26.

Shaqiri & VDV are 27 (so where signed when 26). Alisson is currently 26.

Mane & Salah are 27.

Naby Keita is actually 47 - he’s The outlier.

Zaha fits the ideal profile for us if he was available at a reasonable amount.

I came on here to post this. Apparently they wanted to pay it in instalments, and wanted a huge discount if they paid it off early. Zaha is worth practically double that in this market, and Arsenal are pissing about with that shit. All it will do is piss Palace off, like it did with us when they tried that shit with Suarez. They did it with Celtic too this summer.

Are they fucking skint and just pretending to be in for these players? They're a mess.

Not sure if it's true, but there's been plenty of reports suggesting they have a budget of £40m plus whatever they get through sales, which is why there's also been lots of chat about Torreira and Abamayamadingdong being linked with moves.

Seems like a pretty dire state of affairs, especially if you add in missing out on CL and losing Ramsay for nowt.

Arse have spent money but some of their recruitment and retention choices have been poor. The money is there but paying ozil 300k was a stupid move.

I wouldnt want zaha, not for £80m. For under £80m we could get Pepe, Werner, the German wonder kid or even Van de Beek plus Ziyech.
I'd even take £25m Fekir over an £80m Zaha

Liverpool's Allan Rodrigues de Souza has extended his loan deal with Fluminense until the end of the year.
The 22-year-old midfielder initially moved to Brazil until the end of the season in February but he will now stay in South America until December 31.
Allan joined Liverpool in September 2015 but is yet to make a senior appearance under Jurgen Klopp and has spent time on loan at SJK, Sint-Truidense, Hertha BSC, Apollon Limassol and Eintracht Frankfurt.

Manchester United have had a £31m offer for Portugal midfielder Bruno Fernandes, 24, rejected by Sporting Lisbon. (Gazzetta dello Sport, via Express)

Report: Dejan Lovren's move from Liverpool to AC Milan is in doubt

Dejan Lovren reportedly wants to leave Premier League giants Liverpoolfor Serie A powerhouses AC Milan.

Dejan Lovren’s move to AC Milan could be in doubt with Calciomercato suggesting that Liverpool’s demands might price the Italian giants out of a deal for the Croatian international.
Lovren’s Anfield career appears to be grinding to a halt, five years after he joined the Merseyside giants from (guess who?) Southampton.
And while the 29-year-old has started to win over the supporters who previously regarded him as an accident waiting to happen with some fine performances in the Champions League, Lovren is now clearly fourth choice in Jurgen Klopp’s pecking order.

With Dutch wonderkids Sepp Van der Berg and Ki-Jana Hoever also tipped for big things at Anfield, it seems that Lovren is keen to get out at the right time.
Calciomercato reports that the former Lyon centre-back wants a change of scenery and the chance to play for a European giant like Milan at this stage of his career obviously carries massive appeal, even if the Rossoneri are not the powerhouse they once were.

But with Liverpool demanding around £22.5 million, and Lovren earning around £100,000 a week, the World Cup runner-up could prove to be a little too expensive for a Milan side who were banned from European football next season after breaching Financial Fair Play regulations.

Liverpool might be stuck with Lovren for one more year after all. Though that may not be a bad thing with The Reds looking to compete at home and abroad once again.

Allan will be due his testimonial before he ever kicks a ball for us

Twitter talk about us signing Harvey Elliott from Fulham 🙄

Hope we're not getting carried away with ourselves and thinking 'we got over 90pts and won the european cup last year, there's no way we could improve, lets just buy a load of youth players instead'. I'm all for buying youth players, but we have got to improve that bench to maintain a high level.

Apologies, i thought Zaha was 27, in which case we dont buy 27 year old attackers at 60M plus. He is a good player though, and yes would have him in our team but not at the prices being quoted.

Also agree on what you said about Keita, not 45 but maybe 35 ... when he gets injured on the pitch i look at him and suddenly he really does seem rather much older than what he is officially.

Can see us going for Dembele if is less than 100 million, and depending on wages, klopp is a big fan. pepe may be the safer bet
