Transfer rumours

Good point. The first put in the tackle that ended Roy Keane's career and the second is a Krav Maga exponent who could probably kill you with his little finger.

I see that City are rumored to be spending big again this summer. Looks like they are really worried about FFP.

It is pretty disheartening to be honest.

Part of the problem is that they’re very well managed behind the scenes so you can’t even hope for Chelsea style shenanigans to let others in on off seasons.

It is indeed, they're sitting there at the business end of the season with Mahrez, Sane and Jesus warming the bench while we're shitting ourselves about Salah and Firminos fitness.

And they're going to add to that...

We shall also be strengthening (have to after such a close season!) Losing our best players is more of a worry than City strengthening again, to be fair.

Any chance Sane & co. will leave if all these sooper-dooper midfielders are coming in?

Sane apparently doesn't have the greatest relationship with Guardiola, but then I think he's been a bit of a problem for a number of managers, which may have been why he was left out of the world cup squad.

And we could lose our best players...

Yep, this is the main reason why we won't challenge again next season.

We lost Xabi whilst Gerrard and Torres succumbed to their injuries and were never the same again.

Then the next time, we lost Suarez whilst Sturridge succumbed to injuries as well.

Both times we came 2nd, all the goals were ripped out of the team for the following season.

If we sign two boss players and don't lose anyone, and also sign new players to cover whoever goes out, we're in an incredible position

Klopp's only lost Coutinho from our core unit, and he never buys too many players. The key thing that leaves me having faith is that Klopp never goes for broke, and always maintains squad harmony. It's impressive. He'd rather build something sustainable than do a Mourinho, and look at what a fucking season we've had.

We may not be City but at least we're fucking Liverpool

We're not losing anybody we don't want to this transfer window. We'll strengthen enough to stay on City 's coat tails.....and that means miles ahead of the rest. Expect another season like this one with our games against City being the deciders again. Plus hopefully we'll make it two CL finals in three years and maybe pick up a minor cup for the feel good factor.

That's the spirit!
I like it!

LOL re Yossi Benayoun and Krav Maga.
Yossi could probably kill a fly with his little finger. Not even sure about that...

Liverpool will launch a move for Asensio, who has started just 18 La Liga games this season. The Reds were interested in the Spain international last summer but Real president Florentino Perez didn't want to sell the 23-year-old. (Mundo Deportivo)

Julian Brandt is open to staying at Bayer Leverkusen this summer if the club qualify for the Champions League. The midfielder has been linked with a move to Liverpool this summer and is also wanted by Borussia Dortmund. (Bild)
