Transfer Fund

Can £10m
Origi £10m
Lallana £25m
Lambert £4m
Markovic £20m
Lovren £20m
___________

Total to date £89m
(assuming all completed)

We know there is another £16m in the tank for Moreno and there was £30m for Sanchez so :

Total Potential Spend at least £135m

Including any 'potential' addons into your accounts for that year and removing them from your budget is stupid. What if we conned Southampton into 500k off the cash price for lambert if we win the champions league 10yrs running, we should take that out of our transfer budget should we?

Yes, and add it back in every year we dont win it.

Gah! Head is exploding.

I just meant that if we agreed to pay 15m now, and another 5m or so over the next year or two, we'd have to take it out of this year's budget. I'm not an accountant, but I think what Peter has said is right. I don't know anything about FFP, and I don't care. I doubt anyone truly knows about FFP since they're likely to keep changing the goalposts.

This, all day long, its not even worth trying to get your head around it or worrying about, leave that to the owners, they have been pro FFP since day one, i'd expect them to be fully on top of it and would be astonished if they fucked it up.

Presume from the way our resident manc speaks about FFP and Liverpool that this is something they talk about on their forums and hope fucks us up, clutching right at straws that one, we will probably fuck it up some other way anyway, we usually do.

We seem to be the only ones taking it seriously. That alone doesn't inspire me with confidence about its long-term legitimacy.

No not all I think Liverpool are reasonably well placed for FFP, far better than City or Chelsea anyway.

The losses last year were £50m or so, add in CL revenue and new deals and you are profitable this year.

Point was just I think your transfer dealings will be limited more by what you can increase the wage bill by than the fees themselves.

Fair enough.

Who knows, you may well be right, tbh my only real concern right now is buying some proper quality for our first team for next season, we really need to be taking advantage of our situation this summer, not sure we will but we'll see.

60M + sales I would think. The Suarez sale puts us in the black but I expect BR to spend more to improve the overall squad and the level of the team.
