Yanga-Mbiwa, Belhanda, Cabella, Giroud, Ait Fana for Montpellier.

Capoue, Sissoko and Riviere for Toulouse.

Capoue has apparently had an excellent season. He's a powerful, long-legged defensive midfielder, with a bit of composure on the ball as well. Would make sense if we're looking for a Lucas replacement. I reckon he's the best young DM in France after M'vila. Here's a vid:

Bayern's Sporting Director Christian Nerlinger and Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi also at game in Toulouse tonight.

Liverpool manager Dalglish & Arsenal scout watch Montpellier's win at Toulouse

The Reds boss is rumoured to be interested in Moussa Sissoko, while the Gunners' talent spotter keeps tabs on Ligue 1 leaders' striker Oliver Giroud in his side's 1-0 win on Friday

Montpellier’s 1-0 win away at Toulouse on Friday evening was attended by Arsenal scout Gilles Grimandi and Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish.

It is believed that the Gunners' scout was keeping tabs on Montpellier’s striker Olivier Giroud, who has hit 20 goals so far this season.

But Grimandi was not the only representative rumoured to be watching the 25-year-old, with Bayern Munich’s general manager Christian Nerlinger also in attendance.

The French international, however, refused to talk about his future after his side’s win thanks to a third minute Younes Belhanda strike.

"My future? I don’t want to talk about it today," he told Foot+.

Meanwhile, Dalglish and his assistant Steve Clark are believed to be interested in Toulouse’s Moussa Sissoko, and the 21-year-old played the full 90 minutes in his side’s loss to the Ligue 1 leaders.

The French midfielder has also attracted the attention of Tottenham in the past, but Sissoko last month revealed that despite the interest, he intends to stay at the Ligue 1 club.

"I had contacts with English clubs, notably Liverpool, but I preferred to commit myself to Toulouse, the club where I have been educated, to get more experience," he told reporters.

"It is up to me to go on improving, to become a world-class player."

If it's true that Arsenal have got Podolski against next season, why would they want Giroud? Except that means they're preparing for Van Persie's departure.

I wish we're the ones looking at Giroud though & I think it's got to be a serious scouting mission (and probably the final stages too) for Kenny & Clarke to both be there.

Dalglish said: “There are not a lot of changes needed.

“The players have shown great resolve to continually bounce back from not getting the reward their performances deserve.

“Like every other football club in the summer, there’s going to be transfer activity because that’s what players expect.

“They look at the football club and they say, ‘Who are they going to bring in this summer?’

“They want to be excited as much as the supporters want to be excited.”

as with most things managers say these are probably nothing quotes but kenny has been banging on so much with how happy he is with the players, bad luck blah blah bollox that i fear he genuinely believes it . And does anyone expect us to spend as much as we did last summer ? i really feel that was the big spend to help us jump a few steps and we fucked it up . Not one of those signings has added anything to the team or been one of our better players . even enrique .

5th-10th with the hope of sneaking 4th and a cup ! what a future we have to look forward to !

Bah! I was hoping we might be looking at Belhanda. An attacker that we can at least get a little excited about.
