You serious? Don't you think his fragile mental state would would be exacerbated by the pressure he'd be under playing for Liverpool?

I agree it's a very serious issue, however, if we do have a shoestring budget then it may hve to be a calculated risk like aqua was in the summer. We could either have a monster or a waster. And at the moment, both of those options are at least equal or better than what we have in reserve

No more than my mental state is exacerbated by supporting Liverpool. If I've got to suffer then he can.

Yea but no one cares about yours 🙂

I doubt anyone cares about Adriano's either.

i just care about his left boot

I do. And I think we're the wrong club for him as he and Rafa would probably one of the worst possible player and manager pairings.

That said, what have we got to lose?

The teams morale is at rock bottom, the atmosphere in the dressing room is probably the worst it's been for a long time and worst comes to worst, if he doesn't work out, we'd have no problem fucking him off back to Brazil.

Fair enough. He has a very unathletic physique, I just noticed that.

I'd sign Ryan from the forum. He can give Dirk style tips.

Not a good idea, we're already struggling with the zonal marking system as it is.

He's doing overtime on his Dirk project.

I suspect he is giving this place a wide wide berth. Like plenty of other posters. This forum is not a pleasant place to be when the results are bad. And boy have the results been bad.

And horrible horrible news about Nando. It just about typical for this season, and with it goes our slim chance of pinching 4th place. Game over.

Oh dear.

Top 6 so unless we pull some crazy rabbit out of the hat in the transfer market.

Or how about Pach getting a chance and becoming an instant hero by banging in so some goals.

Maxi------Mash------Aquaman------Reira

It usually helps when attracting World Class talent, to already have some world class talent in the team.

If we sold Gerrard and Torres we would have Reian and Masher and the rest of the team would be made up of fucking flids like Lucas, Insua and Eggnog

Selling your best players isn't the way to build a good team
[/quote]

I agree to an extent, but I think the essence of the question was that the £100m would be spent on other top class players, the ultimate aim being to improve the team.
So instead of relying on the Torres /Gerrard partnership we could have two £30m forwards and still have £40m to spend on another top drawer player or a couple of very decent players. Therefore improving our forward line, the squad and also not being reliant on one player to score goals.

Apart from Best I don't think I've disagreed more strongly Vlads.

There is something inately wrong at the club just now for someone like Gerard and Carra to both be down on effort and commitment.

I could not advocate selling the best home grown LFC player I've ever seen and one of the best LFC players in history at his age. He's not in his prime but he's our best player and we'd be losing a hell of a lot more than just the best CM in the world; putting aside after everything he's done and the decisions he's made have him deserving of finishing his career here I think Gerrard is far too important and brings too much to the squad to sell.

Torres - if he goes it should only be because he demands a transfer. He's practically a Kop legend now and he's not even in his prime. To discuss selling by far our best two players on the option of bringing in four excellent players who will just as likely suffer the same injury problems is not the answer.

They need to be helped by players who can actually perform and do the job we need rather than sold in order to buy lesser players who might be able to do the job we need.

I didn't say it is what I would necessarily advocate, I was pointing out the implied thinking behind the question.

a) that was a fantastic comeback, you steal that from Ryan or Brendan?
b) nice that you finally admit that you're Oirish.
